„Worte, die gut tun“ heißt das neue Stempelset, bei dem für jedes verkauftes Set 2,25€ an die McDonald’s Kinderhilfe gespendet wird. Deshalb musste ich dieses besondere Stempelset unbedingt auch kaufen und spiele schon ein paar Wochen damit herum. Passend zu dem Set gibt es die „Baumstanze“, die auch bei meiner Karte für das Ausstanzen der Eiskugeln zum Einsatz gekommen ist.

„Sprinkles of Life“ is the new stampset that supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). one of the main reasons why I decided to buy this stamp set. Now I’ve been playing with it for a couple of weeks. There is also the „Tree Builder Punch“ that I used to punch out the ice cream scoops.

Der Hintergrund der Karte wurde mit dem neuen In-Color Farbkarton in „Taupe“ gestaltet – nach dem Verlust meiner Lieblingsfarbe „Kandiszucker“ ist „Tip Top Taupe“ meiner Meinung nach ein würdiger Nachfolger. ich muss aber gestehen, dass ich die Eistüte noch mit „Kandiszucker“ gestaltet habe und auch in den Eiskugeln versteckt sich noch das geliebte „Pistazie“ zwischen den Aktuellen Farben „Pflaumenblau“, „Kirschblüte“, „Safrangelb“, „Melonensorbet“ und „Minz-Makrone“ – Ich muss mich wohl erst langsam „entwöhnen“ 😉

For the Background I used the new In-Color „Tip-Top Taupe“ (-don’t you love the sound of that name?!) – after loosing „Baked Brown Sugar“ I personally think Tipt Top Taupe is a worthy replacement. But yet I have to confess, that I still used Baked Brown Sugar for the cone and even for one ice cream scoop I sneaked in „Pistachio Pudding“. I guess it takes some time to „wean myself off“ those beautiful colors 😉

Heute möchte ich Euch das Mini-Album zeigen, dass ich für meine Eltern und auch noch mal für meine Tante schnell mal einen Tag (eigentlich war es eher eine Nacht) vor Weihnachten gebastelt habe – ja, ja, ja,… man nimmt sich jedes Jahr vor, mal früher mit den Weihnachtsgeschenken fertig zu werden und dann kommt doch immer was dazwischen!

Today I want to show you the Mini-Album I made twice, one for my parents and a one for my aunt just ONE DAY, well actually it was the night before Christmas! – yes, I know — each year I have the intention to get my Christmas presents ready before December hits but somehow it never seems to work!

Ich habe die Anleitung zu dem Album gefunden, als ich nach Ideen für eine Freundin suchte, die sich Anfang Oktober mit folgender Email an mich gewendet hatte:

„Ich hab mal ne Frage … ich sehe bei Facebook immer, dass du so toll Sachen selber machst. Bestimmt kannst du auch Scrapbooking oder? 🙂

Ich bin leider basteltechnisch ’ne absolute Unbegabung, würde aber gerne meiner Mutter ein Album mit Enkelkinderbildern machen und mich mal am Scrapbooking versuchen. Kannst du mir ein paar einfache Tipps geben wie ich das am Besten angehe und vor allem auch, was ich alles kaufen sollte und wo ich das bekomme? Hab mich schon mal durchgegoogled, aber bin leicht überfordert bei all dem Angebot.“

I found the instructions to the album I made while looking for solutions for a friend who had sent me the following email at the beginning of October:

“ I have a question … I can see in Facebook that you create some neat things. I’m sure you know something about scrapbooking, right? 🙂

I am a complete mess when it comes to crafting but I would love to try my hand on scrapbooking and make an album for my mom with pictures of her grandchildren. Can you give my a few ideas on how I can get started and especially what I should buy and where to get the material? I’ve been „googling“ quite a bit but feel somewhat overwhelmed with all the options.“

Nach vielen Ideen von Project Life über ein paar Alben, die ich bereits gemacht habe, bin ich auf folgendes Video von Jasmin gestoßen (Achtung, das Video ist zum Mit-Basteln gedacht und daher sehr lang!):

Das Tolle an diesem Album ist, dass man eben wirklich kaum Kosten hat und ein Kartenset für mindestens zwei Alben plus diverse Karten reicht. Alles was man noch dazu kaufen sollte, ist farblich passendes Washi-Tape, was Stampin‘ Up! natürlich auch zu bieten hat 😉
The cool thing about this album is that your costs are super low since you only need to buy one card-set in order to make at least 2 albums and a bunch of cards on top of that. All you might want to add is matching washi-tape and of course SU offers that as well 😉

Meine Freundin hat sich die Materialien gleich bestellt, aber leider weiß ich nicht, wie sie die Idee umgesetzt hat – wenn Du das hier liest, meine Liebe: Ich würde mich über Bilder freuen! 😉

Geburtstagskarte mit Kinokarten

Ich habe den Auftrag bekommen, ein paar Kinokarten hübsch zu verpacken und am besten noch gleich eine passende Geburtstagskarte zu gestalten. Das Geschenk war für einen 50ten Geburtstag gedacht. Ich habe mich schließlich für die „Zwei in Einem“ -Variante entschieden. Die Idee dazu habe ich auf Heike`s Blog gefunden, die dazu auch ein Anleitungsvideo gepostet hat.

I received a request to special-wrap some movie tickets and add a matching Birthday card if possible. The present was ment for a 50th Birthday. I finally decided to go with the „two in one“ kind of card. I found the idea on Heike’s blog who also posted a video with step by step instructions.

Die Kinokarten kamen schon in einem hübschen Umschlag und da dieser auch Flyer und weitere Infos zum Kino erhielt, wollte ich die Gutscheinkarte passend gestalten, damit man beides überreichen kann. Hier seht Ihr den Originalumschlag mit meiner Karte:

The movie tickets already came in a somewhat pretty envelope and since it also held more informations and flyers about the movie theatre etc. I wanted my card to match the look of the envelope. So here you see a photo of both, my card and the „original“ envelope:

Da ich mal wieder vergessen hatte, die Karte zu fotografieren, bevor der Text geschrieben war ( — typisch!!!), musste ich ein bisschen nachhelfen und den Text aus dem Bild löschen.

Since I forgot yet again, to take a picture of the card before writing the personal greeting ( — just typical!) I had to „erase“ some of the text from the picture, sorry about that.

SU-Kenner sehen sofort, dass für dieses Projekt eine ganze Menge „alter“ Produkte verwendet wurden, so dass die Produktliste am Ende dieses Posts jetzt ziemlich kurz ausfallen wird 😉 Ich hoffe, es hat der Empfängerin trotzdem gefallen und lädt Euch zum Ausprobieren dieser Kartentechnik mit Euren eigenen kreativen Ideen ein!

Everybody who knows and follows SU can see right awawy, that I used a whole bunch of „old“ products for this project which might make the product list at the end a bit shorter than usually 😉 I hope the person receiving the card still liked it and maybe I was able to inspire you, to give the card technique a try and work it with your own creative ideas!

Heute sind also Nadine und ich an der Reihe, Euch weihnachtlich einzustimmen – mal sehen, ob uns das gelingt 😉

Hier mein kleiner Beitrag dazu – tadaa!:

Yes – „only“ a good old sour cream container… AND … the „Thing“ underneath…

Und wenn man dieses Etwas aufstellt und außeinander fallen lässt, dann:

Hier passt wohl dann eher das „Tadaa!“ 😉

Auf der Rückseite dieser „Card-In-A-Box“ ist dann noch genügend Platz, einen kleinen persönlichen Weihnachtsgruß anzufügen.

I guess that’s were I should have added the „ta da!“ 😉

On the back of this „Card in a Box“ there is enough room to add your own personal message.

Obwohl ich in diesem Jahr viele meiner Weihnachtskarten in Naturtönen gehalten habe, liebe ich immer noch die „traditionelle“ Farbkombination rot-grün bzw. hier „Chili“ und „Gartengrün“ und ich finde das Designerpapier gibt der ganzen Winterszene so ein warmes, wohliges Winter-Weihnachtspulli-Gefühl – Ihr wisst schon, was ich meine, oder? 😉

Although I stuck to neutral colors with most of my Christmas cards this year, I still love the „traditional“ color combination red-green, well or as you can say here „Cherry Cobbler“ and „Garden Green“ and I think the designer paper adds a warm fuzzy Winter-Christmas-Sweater-Feeling (gotta love my words!) to the whole scene, don’t you think? 😉

Da die Karte erst vorgestern entstanden ist, habe ich noch keine Anleitung mit den Maßen für Euch, aber ich verspreche, dass ich diese nachreichen werde!

Weil heute Nikolaus ist, hab ich mal wieder etwas mehr von mir als „nur“ den Adventskalender (obwohl der natürlich auch dabei ist 😉 )
