Hallo Ihr Lieben, / Hello everybody,

Ich war die letzten paar Tage wieder so still, weil ich fieberhaft an den Halloween-Goodies für meine beiden Jungs gearbeitet habe. Beide gehen auf eine deutsch-amerikanische Schule, wo Halloween natürlich kräftig gefeiert wird. Also hieß es Süßes zaubern und „anständig“ verschönern 😉

I was „quiet“ for the last couple of days again because I was working on Halloween-goodies for my two Boys. Both attend a German-American School and they celebrate Halloween big time. So I wanted to „enhance“ the treats they brought to their classes. 😉

Ich habe ein „altes“ Stempelset benutzt, „Googly Ghouls“, dass immer noch meine Lieblings-Halloweenset ist, die Topper mit dem Spiderweb-Prägefolder, den es nur noch in der „Ausverkaufsecke“ bei SU gibt, geprägt und mit der Craft-Stempelfarbe in Flüsterweiß geinkt. Die Hexen, Mumien und Frankies habe ich mit Buntstiften coloriert, da mir die Stampin‘ Marker da zu kräftig waren.

I used a retired stampset called „Googly Ghouls“ which still is one of my favorite Halloween sets. I embossed the toppers with the spiderweb embossing folder you can only buy in the „Clearance Rack“ and inked them with craft ink in whisper White. Witches, mummies and Frankies were all colored with regular coloring pencils – I tried the Stampin‘ Markers but they were too intense.

Als ich dann Tüten für eine Klasse fertig hatte, stellte sich heraus, dass es in der Klasse des Mittleren mehrere Leute mit Gelatine-Unverträglichkeit gibt – der nahm also stattdessen nur Popcorn mit in die Schule. Aber ich habe wenigstens für seine Lehrerin eine Kleinigkeit gewerkelt, weil die das Beste ist, was ihm im Punkto Lehrerin hätte passieren können – wir sind sooooo froh, dass er in ihrer Klasse „gelandet“ ist!

When I had finished the treats for my oldest son I found out that there are a bunch of kids with gelatine-intolerance in my second son’s class – so no gummibears and instead he just took Popcorn to class. But I wanted to at least make a little something for his teacher because she is the best thing that could have happened to him and we are sooooo happy that he ended up in her class!

Hier habe ich mich des aktuellen Stempelsets „Fall Fest“ bedient mit den passenden Framelits Formen „Herbstfreuden“. Die Idee kommt von einer amerikanischen „Kollegin“, Lynn Starzl, die eine „Licht Box“ gemacht hat.Nur das Spinnennetz und die Wackelaugen sind aus „alten Zeiten“, durften aber irgendwie nicht fehlen. 😉

Here I used the „Fall Fest“ stampset and the matching „Fun Fall“ Framelits dies. I got the idea from a fellow SU-demonstrator, Lynn Starzl, who created a „light box“. But I just had to add the little spiderweb and some googly eyes from the „good old times“ though. 😉

Wenn man dann das kleine Teelicht anzündet und das Licht ausmacht, dann sieht das Ganze gleich ganz schummerig aus:

Und jetzt nur nicht daran denken, dass die Tüten wahrscheinlich in sekundenschnelle zerstört wurden 😉 Aber mir hat’s Spaß gemacht!

And now let’s not think about the fact that those bags were probably destroyed in seconds 😉 But at least I had my fun making them!
