Schwer beschäftigt…

Ich bin nicht verschwunden, nur schwer beschäftigt… Ich habe morgen nämlich wieder einen Workshop, dieses Mal werden es voraussichtlich 11 Leute! Da gibt es unheimlich viel zu schneiden, falzen, Materialkits zu packen und vieles andere vorzubereiten. Das Thema dieses Mal wird „Papier ganz beweglich“… laßt Euch überraschen! Vielleicht denke ich ja dieses Mal daran, auch Fotos zu machen, damit Ihr mal einen Eindrcuk bekommt, wie so ein Workshop dann wirklich aussieht. (Aber ich verspreche nichts, denn bisher habe ich die Kamera zwar immer dabei gehabt es jedoch nie geschafft, sie auch zu benutzen 🙂 )

I am not gone just very busy… Tomorrow will be another workshop – this time with probably 11 people! So there is a lot to cut, score, material to pack and prepare. The topic of this next workshop will be „paper with the extra wow!“ … let me surprise you! Maybe this time I will remember to take some pictures during the workshop so you can get an idea what it’s like. (But I won’t make any promises, since until now I always brought my camera to every workshop but just forgot to use it! 😉 )

Bis jetzt noch recht unscheinbar. Ich habe mal wieder das Stempelset  „Geburtstagstörtchen“ benutzt und außerdem das Stempelset „Wimpelwünsche“.

So far there is nothing really special about the card. I used the stampsets „Create A Cupcake“ and „Pennant Parade“.

 

Das Besondere an dieser Karte ist aber die Art, wie man sie öffnet.  Voilá!

Geburtstagskarten kann man immer gebrauchen…

…also kommt hier wieder eine. Dieses Mal habe ich das SAB-Stempelset „Fresh Vintage“ benutzt und das dazu passende SAB-Designer Papier „Retro Impressions“. Since you can always use a Birthday Card here comes another one. This time I used the SAB stamp set „Fresh Vintage“ and the SAB-DP that goes with it. Außerdem kam das Gastgeberinnen Stempelset „Alles Gute zum Geburtstag“ zum Einsatz, die Klammern in Antikoptik und das schöne „Victoria Häkelbordüre“ -Band. Für die Blume habe ich acht 1″ Kreise benutzt…

I also used the hostess stampset „Happiest Birthday Wishes“, the antique brads and the beautiful „victoria“ crochet ribbon. For the flower I used eight 1″ circles…

Für das Karteninnere habe ich einen der Grüße aus dem Stempelset „Ein Duftendes Dutzend“ benutzt und den wunderschönen Stempel aus dem SAB-Set mit den Markern coloriert.

For the inside I used one of the greetings from the stampset „Delightful Dozen“ and I used the „Marvelous Markers“ to color the floral stamp from the SAB-stamp set.

Diese Karte wird am Samstag eine liebe Freundin von mir erhalten und ich hoffe, sie freut sich darüber.

On sunday one of my dear friends will receive this card for her birthday and I hope she will enjoy it.

Vor Kurzem hat ein Freund von uns geheiratet und da mußte natürlich eine ganz besondere Karte her.

A couple of weeks ago one of our friends got married and of course I had to make a very special card.

Die Idee habe ich von einer amerikanischen SU-Demonstratorin namens Danee Hoang (wenn Ihr auf den Namen klickt, dann kommt Ihr zur Original-Karte).

I cased a card from an American SU-Demonstrator. Her name is Danee Hoang (and if you click on her name you will see the original card).

Und so sieht meine Version aus: / And this is what my cased card looks like:

Ich bin der Vorlage ziemlich treu geblieben, allerdings habe ich das DP „Frühlingsnostalgie“ aus dem letzten Sommer-Minikatalog als Hintergrund genutzt und ein anderes Band. Auch die Prägefolder sind etwas anders, da es die des Originals nur im amerikanischen Katalog gibt.

I pretty much followed the original card but used old designer paper from our last summer-mini catalog (I don’t know what it was called in English back then – sorry!). I also used a different kind of ribbon and other embossing folders since the ones from the original card are not available in Europe.

Innen habe ich die Karte recht schlicht gehalten – da zählte dann mehr der geschriebene Inhalt mitsamt der kleinen „Finanzspritze“ für den neuen gemeinsamen Haushalt. 😉

Inside I kept the card pretty simple and left the written word and „monetary content“ as the main focus here. 😉

Hier kam das Stempelset „Perfekte Pärchen“ zum Einsatz und die neue Stanze „Briefmarke“.

I used the stamp set „Petite Pairs“ and our new postage punch.

Ich hoffe, die Karte samt Inhalt hat dem Brautpaar gefallen – ich hatte jedenfalls viel Spaß beim Abkupfern! 😉 Danke Danee für die tolle Idee!

Noch ’ne Challenge…

.. bei „Less is More“ läuft zur Zeit eine Challenge mit dem Titel „Polka Dots“. Gefragt sind also Beiträge, die schlicht und einfach sind, aber eben irgendwo Punkte haben. Da mußte ich gleich an die Geburtstagskarte für meine Schwester denken, die ich Euch vor ein paar Monaten schon einmal hier gezeigt habe. Da war der Focus allerdings auf die Pralinenverpackung gerichtet und nicht so wirklich auf die Karte  😉

There is one more Challenge I decided to join. This one is at „Less is more“ with the title: „Polka Dots“ – so the project has to be clean and simple and include polka dots. I imidiately thought of the birthday card I made for my sister and posted about here. But then the focus was more on the cute shoe than on the card 😉

Sooo viel Vorbereitungen…

Entschuldigt, dass ich mich soooooo lange nicht mehr kreativ gemeldet habe – ich war und bin einfach ziemlich viel beschäftigt, u.a. mit den Vorbereitungen auf die Einschulung meines Großen. Er geht jetzt in die sog. Eingangsklasse einer internationalen Schule hier in Berlin und alles ist schrecklich aufregend! Nächster Freitag ist dann seind GROSSER Tag! Die Schultüte ist nun schon fertig (Bilder kommen dann aber erst nach der Einschulung, denn das ganze ist natürlich noch schrecklich geheim) und vorgestern sind nun auch die Einladungen zur Einschulungsfeier rausgegangen und die sehen so aus:

 Sorry that I didn’t post anything creative for soooooo long – I was just too busy, i.e. with preparations for the big „Einschulung Ceremony“ for my oldest son – next friday will be his BIG DAY. He started school in the so called Entrance Grade of an international bilingual school here in Berlin and everything is just too exciting! I already finished the „Schultüte“ (pictures will follow after the „Einschulung“, because right now it still is a top secret operation!) and two days ago the invitations for the party went out.. They look like this:

 Da Stampin‘ Up! eine amerikanische Firma ist und es dort keine Schultüten und große Einschulungsfeiern gibt – kann man sich das überhaupt vorstellen? – gibt es leider auch keine speziellen „Einschulungs-Stempel“. Da musste ich mal wieder kreativ werden. Zum Glück gibt es ja viele andere Stempler im Internet, bei denen man Inspirationen sammeln kann. So auch dieses Mal:

 Since Stampin‘ Up! is an American company and they just have no such thing as „Schultüten“ and big „Einschulungsfeiern“ for their firstgraders – very hard to imagine for a German 😉 – there are no special stamp sets that fit the occasion. Time to be alittle creative. Luckily there are many other stampers online where you can find some inspiration. And that’s what I found: 

Die erste Inspiration kam von „Flebbeart“ und die zweite von „Stempelrausch„… Wie ihr seht, habe ich mich sehr an die zweite Karte gehalten, nur die Farben geändert und die „Tülle“ mir Krepppapier statt Designerpapier gewerkelt. Außerdem habe ich statt der Zahlen Buchstaben verwendet und der Spruch ist bei mir aus dem Gastgeberinnenset LvL1 „Afterthoughts“, dass es nur noch bis Ende des Monats geben wird.

 The first idea that I really liked came from „Flebbeart“ and the second from „Stempelrausch„…. As you can clearly see i stuck to no. 2 quite closely. I just changed the colors and the top of the „Schultüte“ I did with crepe paper instead of DP. I also preferred letters to numbers and used the sentiment from the hostess stampset lvl1 called „Afterthoughts“ that will only be available until the end of this month.
