Kleine Geschenke….

Ich wünsche Euch  einen schönen Frühlingsanfang – auch wenn man hier nicht wirklich etwas davon bemerkt hat. Berlin sieht aus wie in Watte gepackt – so hätte ich mir die Stadt zu Weihnachten gewünscht, nicht unbedingt zu Ostern 😉

I hope you all had a woderful first day of spring – it really doesn’t feel like spring here at all! Berlin is wrapped in a white blanket of snow – I wish it had looked like this for Christmas – but now that it is almost Easter? 😉

Im Frühlings-Katalog gibt es die neuen süßen Windrädchen – die musste ich gleich für ein paar kleine „Dankeschön“-Geschenke für liebe Freunde ausprobieren.

In the spring catalog is a new „pinwheel“ die – I just had to give it a try for a few Little „Thank you“ Goodies I made for a couple of friends

Außerdem kam das Sale-A-Bration Stempelset „Gemusterte Grüße“ zum Einsatz und das SAB Designer Papier „Bunter Basar“.

I also used the Sale-A-Bration stampset „Patterned Occasions“ and the Special SAB-Designer Paper „Sycamore Street“.

Die Mini-Milchkartons sind mit Farbkarton in „Petrol“ und „Mango“ gewerkelt und für die Elefanten habe ich Stempelkissen in „Himbeerrot“ und „Petrol“ benutzt und Stampin’Write Marker in „Mango“ und „Mandarinorange“ für die kleine Blume und den Gruß.

For the mini-milk cartons I used cardstock in „Pool Party“ and „Summer Starfruit“ and the Elephants were stamped in „Rich Razzleberry“ and „Pool Party“ and I used Stampin‘ Write Markers in „Summer Starfruit“ and „Tangerine Tango“ for the little flower and the Sentiment.

Ich wünsche allen noch eine schöne restliche Woche – bleibt schön warm und haltet durch – der Frühling wird hoffentlich bald sein wahres Gesicht zeigen! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving…

Wir haben heute Thanksgiving gefeiert und ich habe die letzten zwei Tage mit Vorbereitungen in der Küche verbracht – puh – geschafft. Der Truthahn war zart und saftig, die Süßen Kartoffeln köstlich, der Grüne Bohnen Auflauf trotz Mangel an „Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup“ genießbar und der Pumpkin Pie ist mir wirklich gut gelungen (*auf die eigene Schulter klopf 🙂 ) Das reicht jetzt aber erst einmal wieder für ein ganzes Jahr. Wir waren nur 4 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder und ein Baby und habe noch so viel Essen übrig, dass ich mich die nächsten Tage wohl nicht mehr ums Kochen kümmern muss!

We celebrated Thanksgiving today and I spent the last 2 days  in the kitchen getting ready for the big feast and – yay! – it’s done! The turkey was juicy and tender, the sweet potatoes yummy, the green bean casserole turned out okay even though I wasn’t able to find any Condensed Cream of Mushroom soup here in Good Old Germany. The pumpkin pie turned out super delicious (*tooting my own horn here 🙂 ). It was yummy and good and I’m glad that it won’t happen again until next year ;). We were only 4 adults, 2 kids and a baby and I have so many left overs that I don’t think I will have to worry about cooking dinners for the next couple of days!

Durch die ganzen Vorbereitungen und die Vor- bzw. Nachbereitunge eines weitern Workshops bin ich gar nicht zum bloggen gekommen und ihr habt seit Halloween nichts mehr von mir gehört. Asche auf mein Haupt. Das muss sich jetzt aber ändern.

Due to all the preparations for the feast and preparations for another workshop I didn’t really find the time to continue blogging. That’s why you haven’t seen anything since Halloween. I apologize and hope to change!

Damit ich nicht nur Eurem Magen Appetit mache kommt hier auch noch ein bisschen „Kreativ-Futter“: Zwei Schokoladen-Verpackungen 

Now that I already whet your appetite with food let me also tickle you with some  „creative munchies“: Two chocolate boxes

Stanzen: „Eckenabrunder“, „Briefmarke“ & „Wellenkante“ (Den Schmetterling habe ich hier noch mit der Hand ausgeschnitten, aber es gibt dafür auch eine tolle neue Stanze – ich glaube, die müßte zu diesem Schmetterling auch passen?!)

Embellishments: Basic Strassschmuck

 

Ich hatte bei einer Sammelbestellung 10 dieser tollen Metallboxen so probeweise mitbestellt – ich hatte noch keine Ahnung was mich da eigentlich erwartet  – und jetzt bereue ich es schon, nur so wenige bestellt zu haben. In so einer Box und mit ein bisschen Kreativität wird aus einer einfachen Tafel Schokolade ein tolles kleines Geschenk.

To purchase these little metal boxes I took part in a group order and just tried them with an order of only 10 – I wanted to see what they looked like first- and now I already regret having bought just so few. In a box like these and with a little bit of creativity a simple bar of chocolate can turn into a cute little present. 

Das war’s nun wieder für heute – ich muss jetzt ersteinmal ins Bett und die Pute verdauen! 😉

That was it for today – I have to go lay down and digest the turkey now! 😉

Mein erster Workshop nach Baby-Pause (1.Teil)

…war am vergangenen Freitagabend und es ist doch erstaunlich gut gegangen. Das verdanke ich vorallem dem Ehemann der Gastgeberin, der spontan dafür gesorgt hat, dass meine winzige Bastelmaus ausreichend bespaßt wurde. Danke Antonio –  Du bist ein großartiger Babysitter!

This past Friday was my first workshop after a short „baby break“. It went pretty well – special thanks goes to the dear husband of the hostess who jumped in and made sure my little stamping queen was kept entertained and happy  – Thanks Antonio – you were a great babysitter!

Gewünscht war das Thema „Verpackungen“ für kleine Geschenke – gerade auch in Vorbereitung auf Halloween und Weihnachten.

The theme was crafted treat holders – especially in preparation for Halloween and Christmas.

Heute zeige ich Euch ersteinmal das kleine Weihnachtsgeschenk – eine Verpackung für heiße Schokolade. (Cappuccino usw. gehen natürlich auch 😉 ):

Die Idee für diese´s Projekt habe ich von einer amerikanischen Demokollegin, Dawn Olchefske – Sie hat auch ein Video-Tutorial dazu gemacht (natürlich in Englisch) und ich habe mich hingesetzt und versucht, Euch die Anleitung aufzuschreiben, damit Ihr etwas zum abheften und behalten habt – In Verbindung mit Dawn’s Video werden meine Anweisungen vielleicht sogar verständlich 😉 Außerdem findet Ihr in der PDF-Datei eine genaue Auflistung aller benötigten Materialien mit Bestellnummer.

I found the idea for this cool little treat pouch on Dawn Olchefske’s blog. She is a fellow Stampin’Up! Demonstrator and made a video tutorial for you to follow. Since it is in English I tried to translate it into German for those who might find it hard to follow the English instructions – I guess watching the video will still help to make sense of what I wrote 😉 The PDF-File also includes a list of all materials needed. (all in German, of course)

Alles Gute zum Muttertag – Happy Mother’s Day!

Es war ein schöner Tag! Und ich konnte meiner Mutti eine große Freude machen, was den Tag doppelt zu süß gemacht hat!

It was a very enjoyable day and I was able to surprise my mom and make her happy which made the day even sweeter!

Wie versprochen zeige ich Euch heute, was ich für meine liebe Mama gewerkelt habe:

Zuerst einmal gab es etwas Süßes – eine besonders leckere Schokolade in einer speziellen Verpackung mit dem extra Kick…. Zuerst ist die Verpackung noch recht unauffällig, aber zieht man an der kleinen Lasche, um die Schokolade herauszuziehen – voilá…..

First of all she received something sweet – a chocolate she really likes with a special surprise… First the wrapping is quite unspectacular, but once you pull on the little tab to pull out the chocolate – voilá……

Immer wieder spektakulär, obwohl das Verpackungsgeheimnis eigentlich recht simpel ist!

This chocolate Wrapper always causes some oohs and aaaws even though the tecnique I used to create it is quite simple!

Die Verpackung ist aus A4 Farbkarton in „Limone“ das DP ist das der vergangenen Sale-A-Bration. Ich liebe dieses Papier und bin froh, dass ich mir ein paar Päckchen sichern konnte 🙂 Als Stempelsets habe ich „Perfekte Pärchen“, „SAB Fresh Vintage“ und „Ein duftes Dutzend“ verwendet. Außerdem kamen die „Victoria“ Häkelbordüre zum Einsatz, die „Boho-Blüten“ Stanze und die „Klammern in Antikoptik“. Alle Papiere wurden in „Wildleder“ geinkt.

The wrapping was made from an A4 Cardstock in „Lucky Limeade“ and the DP is from this years Sale-A-Bration. I love the paper and am super happy that I was able to get a few packages to store 🙂 I used the following stamp sets:  „Petite Pairs“, „SAB Fresh-Vintage“ and „Delightful Dozen“. I also used the „Victoria“ chrochet ribbon as well as the „Boho Flower“ Punch and the Antique brads. All paper was inked in „Soft Suede“.

Aber das war noch nicht alles. Obwohl die Schokolade ja auch eine eingebaute Karte hatte, war mir diese zu klein für einen wirklichen Brief. Deshalb kam noch einmal eine  Karte dazu und auch hier gab es wieder mal ein besonderes Highlight:

But if course that wasn’t all just yet. Even thought the chocolate had a build in card I decided it was too small for a „real“ letter. That’s why I decided to make a matching card with a special twist:

  

Man nennt das ganze „Fancy Fold Accordian Tag Card“ – schöner Begriff für eine tolle Karte, nicht wahr?

It’s called a  „Fancy Fold Accordian Tag Card“  – a cool name for a fun card, right? 😉

Das kleine Päckchen wird zum Mini-Album, sobald man es öffnet. Da meine Mutter immer wieder nach den neusten Fotos fragt und ich eine wirklich schlechte Tochter bin, die immer wieder vergißt, dass sie sich das wünscht, habe ich es dieses Mal endlich mal geschafft, Ihr ein winziges Minialbum zu gestalten, damit sie hinausgehen und mit ihren zwei bildhübschen Enkeln angeben kann 😉 . Meine Mutter war völlig aus dem Häuschen und hat sich riesig gefreut – sie ist wirklich nicht sehr anspruchsvoll 😉

The little package on the card opens into a tiny Mini-Album. Since my mom keeps asking me for the newest pics of her (grand)children and I am such a rotten daughter that I keep forgetting to print them up for her, I decided to finally get her at least a tiny Mini-Book so she can brag about her two handsom littel grandsons 😉 . My mom was super excited and happy – she really doesn’t ask for much, does she  😉

Papier und Stempelsets sind die gleichen wie bei der Schokoladenverpackung, es kam noch das Standartrad „Sandy Speckles“ und „Häkelbordüre“ Stanze dazu. Wenn ihr wollt findet ihr hier wieder das Video, von dem ich mich habe inspirieren lassen – viel Spaß dabei!  😉

Paper and stamp sets are the same as the ones that I used for the chocolate wrapping, I just added the old stamping wheel „Sandy Speckles“ and used a border punch. If you are interested in details you can watch the video that inspired me for my mother’s day present right here  – enjoy!;)
