Ein Mini-Album – Achtung: viele Fotos!

Nach den vielen „geschäftlichen“ Posts wird’s mal wieder Zeit für etwas Kreatives, oder?! 😉

After all the many „business“ posts it ist about time for something more creative, don‘ t you think? 😉

Heute möchte ich Euch ein Projekt zeigen, an dem ich den Sommer über gearbeitet habe und in das mein ganzes Herzblut geflossen ist – Ein Mini-Album zum Geburtstag meiner Mutter.

Today I want to show you a project that I spent most of the summer on and that came straight from my heart – a mini-scrapbook for my mom’s birthday.

Die Idee dazu kam mir von Delia , die vor einer Weile eine wunderbare Anleitung zu diesem Album auf ihren Blog gestellt hat. Ihr findet sie *hier*. Eigentlich habe ich das Layout ziemlich genau kopiert, allerdings habe ich noch Glitzerpapier in Silber für den extra „Bling-Effekt“ benutzt und  das neue Stempelset „Gorgeous Grunge“ wurde eingeweiht – eins meiner absoluten Lieblingssets!

I got the idea for this album from Delia, who posted her Album and some beautiful instructions on her blog some time ago. You can find the instructions *here*. I pretty much copied her layout but used some silver glimmer paper for the extra *bling-effect“ and also made use of the new „Gorgeous Grunge“ stamp set – which by the way I REALLY fell in love with!

Das  „Happy Hello -Simply Sent Kartenset“, aus dem das Mini gebastelt wurde, gibt es übrigens noch in der „Restekiste“ im Online-Shop zu ergattern. Aus einem Kartenpaket lassen sich zwei Alben gestalten!

Das Album ist eigentlich aus dem Briefumschlägen gemacht und so hat jede Seite eine Tasche, die Platz für eine Karte bietet, welche man ebenfalls noch mit Fotos oder Text füllen kann.

The album is made from the envelopes of the Card Kit and so each page has a pocket for a card which you can fill with additional pictures or journaling.

Die Fotos zeigen Bilder meiner Mutter und den Menschen, die ihr viel bedeuten von frühster Kindheit an bis zu dem Zeitpunkt ihrer Hochzeit. Die Originalbilder waren zu meist ziemlich klein und schon recht mitgenommen. Ich habe alle eingescannt, etwas bearbeitet und dann meist größer und schöner wieder ausgedruckt, so dass die Originale nicht beschädigt wurden.

The pictures in the Album Show my mom and People in her life who mean alot to her, starting in her early childhood up to the time of her wedding. The original photographs were mostly very small and pretty worn. I scanned them all in, cleaned them up a little and then printed them  out again so that the originals weren’t damaged.

Hinter dem kleinen Umschlag verbirgt sich ein weiteres Mini-Album mit weiteren Fotos drin.

You can untie the small envelope just to find an other mini-album with a couple more pictures.

Auf der letzten Seite ist ein großer Umschlag in dem ich eine CD mit allen eingescannten Fotos versteckt habe – das waren noch viel mehr als die, die ich dann schließlich verscrapped habe.

On the last page is a big envelope that I used for storing a CD with all the pictures I scanned in – way more than I finally used in the Album.

Ich glaube, das war eines der aufwendigsten Projekte, die ich bisher in Angriff genommen habe, aber ich glaube, es hat sich gelohnt! 😉

I think this was one of the most intense projects I’ve gotten myself into so far, but I think it was worth it! 😉

Darauf kann ich verzichten… / This one I can really do without…

…dachte ich, als ich das Stempelset „Oh, Hello“ im Frühjahrs Katalog von Stampin‘ Up! sah. ABER dann habe ich sooooo viele schöne Projekte damit gesehen und da ich die ovalen Framelits sowieso haben wollte – was soll’s! 😉

… was one of my first thoughts when I saw the stamp set „Oh, Hello“ in  Stampin‘ Up!’s spring catalog. BUT then I saw sooooo many beautiful projects with it and since I wanted the oval framelits anyways – what the heck! 😉

Also habe ich ein bisschen damit herum gespielt. Ich versuche mich gerne an Karten, bei denen nicht all zu viele Stempelsets benötigt werden – möglichst viel aus wenig heraus zu holen ist da die Devise. Aber seht selbst:

So I played around with it a little bit. I like to try my hand on cards that do not require too many stamp sets – to make the most out of only a few things is my creed. But see for yourself:

Was man gar nicht so erkennen kann ist die Zierkante unten an der Wellenkante. Ich habe nach dem Stanzen mit der Wellenkante diese noch mit der neuen Simply Scored Bordüren-Schablone verziert. Wenn ihr ganz genau hinguckt, dann läßt sich das erahnen 😉

What you might not be able to see is that I hand-embossed the border with the new Simply Scored tool. If you look closely you might be able to get an idea 😉

Der Gruß ist hier aus dem letzten Sale-A-Bration Set „Nostalgie Pur“ (dem mit dem Riesenrad), aber ich habe auch eine zweite Karte zum Muttertag gemacht und dafür habe ich dann den Gruß „Für meine wunderbare Mama“ aus dem Stempelset „Ein Duftendes Dutzend“ (125245 (w) oder 125247 (c)) genutzt, aber natürlich vor dem Verschenken nicht mehr fotografiert.

The greeting is one of last Sale-A-Bration’s stampsets (the one with the big ferris wheel), but I also made a second card for Mother’s Day and used a greeting from the stamp set „Delightful Dozen“ (122650 (w) or 122653 (c)) – but of course I forgot to take a Picture before sending it off.

Die Vase ist mit der 1″ Kreisstanze ausgestanzt.

The Vase was made by using the 1″ circle punch.

Ich liebe die Farbkombination Pflaumenblau und Mattgrün. Mattgrün wird ja aus der Farbpalette genommen – sehr schade, wie ich finde!

I love the color-Combo „Perfect Plum“ and „Certainly Celery“. „Certainly Celary“ will not be available in the new catalog – very sad!

Well…. looking at the list I realize that this card still requires quite some material.  Let’s see if I can do better next time and show you a card that is really quick to make and not as elaborate as this one 😉

Mein erster Workshop nach Baby-Pause (2.Teil)

Heute zeige ich Euch nun mein Halloween-Projekt für den letzten Workshop: Eine Double-Slider Schokoladenverpackung.Die Idee habe ich Euch ja schon einmal zum Muttertag gezeigt mit einem Link zu einer Video-Anleitung. In Verbindung mit dem neuen Stempelset „Googly Ghouls“ eignet sich diese Art Verpackung besonders gut für Halloween. Warum? Seht selbst:

Today I’ll show you my second project for last weeks workshop: A double slider chocolate wrapper. I already showed you one for Mother’s Day including a link to a video tutorial. And with the new stamp set „Googly Ghouls“ this kind of chocolate wrapper is just perfect for Halloween. Why? Let me show you:

Das ist der „erste Eindruck“ einer ganz „normalen“ Schokoladenverpackung. Aber zieht man an der Lasche „Grusel Grüße“, dann….

So here is your „first impression“ of a pretty „normal“ chocolate wrapper. But once you pull on the tag with the lable „Treats for Boo“ , then…

„Boo!“ 🙂 Ich bin ja eigentlich nicht so ein Halloween-Fan und hatte eigentlich nicht vor, damit anzufangen, aber dieses Stempelset ist einfach zu niedlich!

„Boo!“ 🙂 I really never cared for Halloween and had no intention of starting to create anything for it – but – this stamp set is just way too cute!

Und dann noch die Wackelaugen, die Stampin‘ Up! jetzt im Herbst-Winterkatalog hat – für nur 2,95€! Da konnte ich nicht widerstehen 😉

Ich habe Euch eine Liste mit allen Materialien und den dazugehörigen Bestellnummern angefügt. Der Mechanismus läßt sich natürlich beliebig auf alle möglichen Farben, Motive usw. übertragen. Ich hoffe, meine Anweisungen machen Sinn – solltet Ihr Fragen habe, dann meldet Euch und ich werde versuchen, alle Unklarheiten zu beseitigen 🙂

I created a written tutorial again with a list of all materials needed. (only in German though!) Feel free to use the card mechanism with all sorts of CS, DP or stamp sets. I hope my instructions make sense – if you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will try to clear up any confusion. 😉

Mein erster Workshop nach Baby-Pause (1.Teil)

…war am vergangenen Freitagabend und es ist doch erstaunlich gut gegangen. Das verdanke ich vorallem dem Ehemann der Gastgeberin, der spontan dafür gesorgt hat, dass meine winzige Bastelmaus ausreichend bespaßt wurde. Danke Antonio –  Du bist ein großartiger Babysitter!

This past Friday was my first workshop after a short „baby break“. It went pretty well – special thanks goes to the dear husband of the hostess who jumped in and made sure my little stamping queen was kept entertained and happy  – Thanks Antonio – you were a great babysitter!

Gewünscht war das Thema „Verpackungen“ für kleine Geschenke – gerade auch in Vorbereitung auf Halloween und Weihnachten.

The theme was crafted treat holders – especially in preparation for Halloween and Christmas.

Heute zeige ich Euch ersteinmal das kleine Weihnachtsgeschenk – eine Verpackung für heiße Schokolade. (Cappuccino usw. gehen natürlich auch 😉 ):

Die Idee für diese´s Projekt habe ich von einer amerikanischen Demokollegin, Dawn Olchefske – Sie hat auch ein Video-Tutorial dazu gemacht (natürlich in Englisch) und ich habe mich hingesetzt und versucht, Euch die Anleitung aufzuschreiben, damit Ihr etwas zum abheften und behalten habt – In Verbindung mit Dawn’s Video werden meine Anweisungen vielleicht sogar verständlich 😉 Außerdem findet Ihr in der PDF-Datei eine genaue Auflistung aller benötigten Materialien mit Bestellnummer.

I found the idea for this cool little treat pouch on Dawn Olchefske’s blog. She is a fellow Stampin’Up! Demonstrator and made a video tutorial for you to follow. Since it is in English I tried to translate it into German for those who might find it hard to follow the English instructions – I guess watching the video will still help to make sense of what I wrote 😉 The PDF-File also includes a list of all materials needed. (all in German, of course)
