Scrapbooking zum Dritten ;)

Weil ich im Moment leider überhaupt nicht zum Basteln komme, ich Euch aber nicht völlig ohne ein Lebenszeichen von mir lassen möchte, zeige ich Euch heute noch einmal ein paar meiner etwas älteren Scrapbook-Kreationen (Von der Zeit lange bevor das Stempelfieber mich erwischt hat! 😉 ):

Since I can’t seem to find the time for crafting right now and I don’t want to leave you without any postings, I am going to show you some more of my scrapbook pages that I made for my olderst son’s scrapbook (long before the stamping and card making addiction got a hold of me 😉 )

 Was für ein aufregendes Erlebnis – Silas durfte tatsächlich im Bagger sitzen –  das hat ihn noch Monate beschäftigt und bis heute ist dies eine seiner Lieblingsseiten. Das Designer-Papier habe ich ausgedruckt, genauso wie die Rahmen und die Buchstaben, ja eingentlich sind alle Embellishments außer der Eyelets nur aus Papier und zurechtgeschnitten. Die Naht ist mit der Nähmaschine entstanden…

What an exciting event – Silas got to ride on an excavator – that stayed with him for months and even today this is one of his favorite scrapbook pages. I printend the designer paper, the frames and letters, actually all embellishments are printed and cut out except the eyelets. And I used my sowing machine for the stiches…

 Hier das Gleiche – wieder ein sog., Hybridprojekt, bei dem alle Papiere und viele Embellishments aus digitalen Scrapbookingdateien ausgedruckt und zurechtgeschnitten worden sind und dann nur noch ein paar Bänder hinzugefügt wurden.

Here’s the same idea – a so called hybrid layout – all designer papers and most of the embellishments are printed up from digital scrapbooking files.

 

Hier habe ich die gerollten Zuckerstangenkringel alle ebenfalls auf Fotopapier ausgedruckt und dann mit der Hand ausgeschnitten – ziemliche Fummelei, aber es hat sich doch gelohnt, oder?

Here I also printed the sugar cane swirls on photo paper and cut them all with plain scissors – quite tricky, but it was worth it, don’t you think?

 Die Überschrift hier ist mit dem Computer entstanden – ein Font der super gut passte. Wieder auf Fotopapier ausgedruckt und dann zu einem Tag zurechtgeschnitten. Die Fotos habe ich alle so zurechtgeschnitten, dass ich die Originalzeichnung meines Sohnes eingefügt habe, statt des Fotos – alles Gekritzel auf dem Layout ist also das Original (Mach das überhaupt Sinn?) Die Hand ist der Handabdruck zum Zeitpunkt an dem die Bilder entstanden sind. Das gibt dem Ganzen eine sehr persönliche Note, wie ich finde.

The header is a fun computer font that I printed up and cut into a tag. The pictures are all cut so that the drawing was actually cut out and I inserted parts of the original drawing instead – so everything you see that looks like a kids drawing is actually an „original Silas“ – and the handprint is from the time the drawings were made – real size. (Does that all make sense?) Anyway… It adds to the personal touch of the layout, I think.

Soooo viele Bilder und ich konnte mich nicht entscheiden – da mußten dann mal alle her 😉

Die Bilder sind bei der Eröffnung einer Wanderausstellung des Bundesverbands für Logopäden (dbl) entstanden – der Pressefotograph hat gar nicht mehr aufgehört, Silas hinterher zu gehen und überall Fotos von ihm zu machen. Dann mußte ich zustimmen, dass der Verband die Fotos benutzen durfte und das habe ich nur unter der Bedingung getan, dass ich alle Abzüge bekomme 🙂 Noch heute kann man die Bilder sehen, z.B. hier.

Sooo many picture and I just couldn’t decide which ones to use – so I basically used them all 😉

The picture were taken by a press photographer during an opening of an exhibition by the German speech and hearing association (deutscher Bundesverband für Logopädie dbl). He couldn’t stop following my son around and kept taking pictures wherever Silas went. Then I was asked to allow the association to use the pictures on their website.. and of course I agreed after I made them promise that I would get to keep copies of all of them 🙂 Even today you can see the picture on some websites and magazines…. kleine Urlaubskreation…

Wie ja schon erwähnt, hatte ich tatsächlich meinen ganzen Bastelkram mit in den Urlaub genommen  ja, sogar die BigShot durfte nicht fehlen 😉 – und hier ist also eine weitere „Urlaubskreation“:

 As I told you before I really took all my stamping stuff with me on my vacation – yes – even my BigShot wasn’t missing 😉 – and so here is just one more „vacation-creation“:

Hochzeitskarte

Heute war ich bei einem Hochzeitsempfang eingeladen und natürlich mußte dafür eine Karte gewerkelt werden.

Ich habe mal wieder ganz frech eine Idee abgekupfert und zwar, wie so oft, von Steffi Nitzpon. Danke Steffi für Deine tollen Ideen!

Das Brautpaar habe ich erst mit Versamark gestempelt und dann mit weiß embosst. Die Herzchen im Hintergrund sind mit dem Stempelset „Confetti“ entstanden und dann wurde noch etwas Glitter und etwas Perlenschmuck hinzugefügt. Die Schmetterlinge sind mit der Embosslit Form „Schmetterlingsgarten“ geprägt und gestanzt. Als Farben habe ich mal wieder Kirschblüte, Vanille Pur und Savanne genutzt.

 Today I was invited to a wedding reception and of course I had to make a card for the occasion.

As so often I cased a card from Steffi Nitzpon. Thank you, Steffi for all of your super ideas!

I stamped the bride and groom with Versamark ink and then embossed them in white. The little hearts in the background are from the stampset „Confetti“ and then I added some glitter and pearls. The butterflies are made with the Embosslits Die called „Beautiful Wings“. And for the colors: I used „Blushing Bride“ ( how fitting! ), „Very Vanilla“ and „Crumb Cake“.

Das Foto ist mal wieder nicht so der Brüller – vielleicht sollte ich meine Bilder doch mal bei Tageslicht machen *grins* aber ich will Euch ja auch nur ein paar Ideen vermitteln und keinen Fotowettbewerb gewinnen 😉

 I know the picture isn’t the best – maybe I should start taking my pictures by daylight *lol* but since I only want to give you some ideas and don’t really want to win a photography contest – this one will have to do 😉

Da bin ich wieder…

Wir haben es ja tatsächlich noch geschafft wenigstens für ein paar kurze Tage in den Urlaub zu fahren. Es war trotz durchwachsenem Wetter eine wirklich schöne Zeit – zu schade, das alles immer viel zu schnell wieder vorüber ist  – naja, 6 Tage reichen eben nicht wirklich zum Erholen, aber sind nach 3 Jahren Ferienpause doch eine nette Abwechslung!

 We finally really made it to at least get a few days of family vacation time. And even though the weather wasn’t all together what you’d call perfect we really had a good time – too bad that it was so short. Oh well, 6 days aren’t really enough – but after 3 full years of no vacation time at all it was a nice change!

 Ich hatte sogar all mein Bastelzeug in Koffern mitgenommen und habe an 3 Abenden die Möglichkeit genutzt, um ein bisschen kreativ zu sein. – Das war vielleicht ein Geschleppe für 3 Karten 😉

 I even took all my stamping gear in suitcases with me and used 3 evenings for some creativity – quite some commotion for 3 cards 😉

 Heute zeige ich euch eine davon:

Farben: Olivgrün, Espresso, Pfirsich Parfait und Vanille Pur

Stempelset: „Confetti“ für den Hintergrund, der mit Savanne gestempelt wurde (erst einmal auf Schmierpapier, dann auf der Top Note, damit das ganze noch heller ist!)

Stanzen: Häkelbordüre und Itty Bitty Formen

Stanzformen für die BigShot: Zarter Zweig und Top Note

Prägefolder: Quadratisches Gitter und die Blüten sind mit einem „fremden“ Prägefolder namens „Just My Type“ der Marke Cuttlebug aber auch mit der Big Shot geprägt.

Der Schriftzug ist wieder mal aus dem „Pile Of Stamps“, den ich gewonnen habe – Marke komplett unbekannt, aber mir gefiel der schöne große Schriftzug so gut.

 Today I am going to show you one of them:

Cardstock colors: Old Olive, Early Espresso, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla

Stamp Set & color: „Confetti“ for the background that was stamped with „Crumb Cake“ (first stamp on an extra piece of paper before stamping on the Top Note to give it a lighter touch!)

Punches: Scallop Trim Border, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

Big Shot Dies: Little Leaves and Top Note

Embossing Folders: Square Lattice and Cuttlebug embossing folder called „Just My Type“ that I used with the BigShot

The Sentiment is out of the „Pile Of Stamps“ that I won for a BlogCandy – yay! No clue what company it is from but I love the writing and the size!

Und natürlich durfte auch ein bisschen „bling“ nicht fehlen, deshalb wurde alle noch mit ein paar Straßsteinen aufgehübscht! Ich muss schon sagen, dass Stampin‘ Up! wirklich die schönsten Glitzersteinchen hat – nix was ich vorher irgendwo gekauft habe hat so schön gefunkelt!

 And of course I needed some extra „bling“ – that’s why I used some of the Basic Rhinestones from Stampin‘ Up! – they are just the most sparkling rhinestones you can buy – no others compare!

 Die Karte habe ich gleich zweimal gemacht, aber einmal als eine „Danke“-Karte. Diese wurde dann auch gleich an die Schwiegereltern meiner Schwester verschenkt, die uns ihre Ferienwohnung zur Verfügung gestellt haben.

 I made this card a second time but then as a „Thank You“ card. It was given to my sister’s inlaws who allowed us to stay in their vacation home.

Ich komme aus dem Feiern gar nicht mehr heraus! Heute bin ich dreimal überrascht worden und freue mich über jede einzelne der Überraschungen wie ein kleinen Kind! 🙂

 Zuerst ist mein Blog ausgezeichnet worden! Bastelqueen hat mir den sogenannten „Kreativ Blogger Award verliehen“ und ich habe mich riesig darüber gefreut – zumal ich sie und ihren Blog noch gar nicht wirklich kannte und ich sie dadurch kennen gelernt habe – Danke Agnes!

Aber nicht genug des Guten – ich habe noch eine dritte Email erhalten, in der mir mitgeteilt wurde, dass ich einen Blogcandy gewonnen habe – eine gratis Abo für August für Craft Project Central –  einen Online-Turtorial Blog für Stampin‘ Up! Produkte…

Ich muss ehrlich zugeben, dass ich nur zufällig auf der Seite von Sandra vorbeigeschneit bin und dachte – „oh, klingt gut, da mach ich mal mit“ obwohl ich nicht mal genau wußte, was CPC ist und auch überhaupt nicht damit rechnete, irgendwas zu gewinnen. Heute musste ich dann ersteinmal in meiner Historie suchen, damit ich Euch den Link zur Seite geben kann – oops – so was nennt mal wohl unverschämtes Glück 😉

 But that wasn’t all –  received another email today where I was told, that I had won a blog candy – free subscription for August to CraftProjectCentral – a blog that sells online tutorials with Stampin‘ Up! products…

I have to admit, that I accidentally got to the blog and I thought to myself: „Oh, sounds good, let’s try it“ but I never even lost a thought tot the idea that I could really win –  I didn’t even know what CPC was! So today I had to go through my online history to find the link to Sandra’s blog – oops – guess you call that lucky 😉

 Was für ein Tag! – Ich werde mich jetzt ersteinmal ganz begeistert ins Bett begeben und dann morgen ENDLICH in den ersehnten Urlaub fahren –  drückt mir die Daumen, dass das Wetter endlich besser bleibt!

 What a day! – But now I should really try to get some sleep because tomorrow we will FINALLY start our long desired vacation – Keep your fingers crossed that the weather will be not be as rainy and cold as in the last 4 weeks!
