Für den schönsten Tag im Leben…

Vor Kurzem hat ein Freund von uns geheiratet und da mußte natürlich eine ganz besondere Karte her.

A couple of weeks ago one of our friends got married and of course I had to make a very special card.

Die Idee habe ich von einer amerikanischen SU-Demonstratorin namens Danee Hoang (wenn Ihr auf den Namen klickt, dann kommt Ihr zur Original-Karte).

I cased a card from an American SU-Demonstrator. Her name is Danee Hoang (and if you click on her name you will see the original card).

Ich bin der Vorlage ziemlich treu geblieben, allerdings habe ich das DP „Frühlingsnostalgie“ aus dem letzten Sommer-Minikatalog als Hintergrund genutzt und ein anderes Band. Auch die Prägefolder sind etwas anders, da es die des Originals nur im amerikanischen Katalog gibt.

I pretty much followed the original card but used old designer paper from our last summer-mini catalog (I don’t know what it was called in English back then – sorry!). I also used a different kind of ribbon and other embossing folders since the ones from the original card are not available in Europe.

Innen habe ich die Karte recht schlicht gehalten – da zählte dann mehr der geschriebene Inhalt mitsamt der kleinen „Finanzspritze“ für den neuen gemeinsamen Haushalt. 😉

Inside I kept the card pretty simple and left the written word and „monetary content“ as the main focus here. 😉

Hier kam das Stempelset „Perfekte Pärchen“ zum Einsatz und die neue Stanze „Briefmarke“.

I used the stamp set „Petite Pairs“ and our new postage punch.

Ich hoffe, die Karte samt Inhalt hat dem Brautpaar gefallen – ich hatte jedenfalls viel Spaß beim Abkupfern! 😉 Danke Danee für die tolle Idee!

I hope the newly weds liked the card and it’s content – I for one enjoyed casing it! Thanks Danee for your great idea!

 

Geburtstagskarte für einen Mann…

…. genauer gesagt für meinen Vater, der in der vergangenen Woche seinen 71. Geburtstag gefeiert hat. Das ist doch jedes Jahr von Neuem wieder schwierig, die passende Karte zu werkeln. Irgendwie tue ich mich schrecklich schwer damit, „männliche“ Karten zu kreieren – irgendwie klappt das nie so ganz.

My dad turned 71 this past week. So a reason to create a Birthday Card for him. Oh how I dread it every time I try – I seem to be a little handicapped, when it comes to „male“ cards – they never really turn out the way I would like them to.

Auch dieses Jahr würde ich es wieder als einen passablen Versuch definieren, was ich dann endlich zustande gebracht habe, aber so wirklich vom Hocker gehauen hat es mich nicht. Ich hoffe, mein Vater hat sich trotzdem gefreut.

Same this year – it probably turned out okay – it was a nice try 😉 – but it still didn’t give me an „aaaaawww“ moment. I hope my dad still liked it and enjoyed it.

Der Gruß ist aus dem Stempelset „Ein duftendes Dutzend“, als Farben habe ich Wildleder, Olivgrün, Savanne, Gartengrün, Espresso und Farngrün genutzt. Die Punkte sind mit der 1/2″ Kreisstanze entstanden und die kleinen silbernen Perlen sind die „Miniklammern“.

The greeting is from the stamp set „Delightful Dozen“, as colors I used „Soft Suede“, „Old Olive“, „Crumb Cake“, „Garden Green“, „Early Espresso“, and „Pear Pizzas“. The dots were made with the 1/2 “ circle punch and I also used the little silver Minibrads.

Innen blieb die Karte natürlich auch nicht leer, sondern diente gleichzeitig als Gutschein:

Of course I didn’t keep the card empty inside but used it at the same time as a gift certificate:

Der Schriftzug „Gutschein“ kommt aus dem aktuellen Sale-A-Bration Set „Allerlei Anlässe“ und ich habe ihn mit den passenden Markern coloriert.

The „lettering“ stamp is from the current Sale-A–Bration set „Outlined Occasions“ and I used the Marvelous Markers to color it in. 

Wie das Ganze nun wirklich bei meinem Vater angekommen ist, konnte ich nicht wirklich einschätzen – der Gutschein wurde aber gleich eingelöst und von uns allen sehr genossen 🙂

How my dad finally liked the whole thing I still don’t really know – but he already used the yummy gift certificate and we all enjoyed a delicious family breakfast together. 🙂 

In(k)spire_Me #017 & SU-LNS Challenge 146

Ich hab im Moment einfach viel zu viel zu tun… Aber gestern habe ich mir mal wieder ein bisschen Zeit genommen, um mich kreativ etwas auszutoben 😉 

Bei den SU-LateNightStampers läuft im Moment eine Challenge die sich „Let it Shine“ nennt und bei der es einfach darum geht, schön zu glitzern! Da mußte ich einfach mitmachen – ich liebe Glitzer! Und da bot sich dieses Mal wieder ein Sketch von der aktuellen „In(k)spire_Me“ Challenge als Vorlage an und natürlich fiel mir nichts besseres als einen Weihnachtskarte  ein 😉

I have been just way too busy these past couple of days… but yesterday I took some time to be creative 😉

There is a challenge at the SU-Late NightStampers that’s called „Let it Shine“ and it is all about using glitter and the extra „Bling“ for your projects. I just had to take part since I LOVE anything with glitter and shine!  I used a sketch from an „In(k)spire_Me“ Challenge and of course I came up with a Christmas card again.

und weil’s so schön ist hier noch mal die Ornamente im Detail – man sollte es ein bisschen glitzern und glänzen sehen…

Leider sind mir die Ornamente etwas verformt – ich denke, ich habe da wohl etwas zu großzügig mit dem Crystal Effects handtiert 😉 Auch die handgemalten Ornament-Aufhänger sind nicht so perfekt, aber das ist dann eben alles noch Verbesserungsfähig 🙂

Too bad that the ornaments lost their shape somehow – I guess I was a little too generous when applying crystal effects 😉 Also the hand drawn ornament strings aren’t really as perfect as I would have liked them to be – but oh well – there is always room for improvement, I guess 😉

Mal was ganz besonderes…

… Ich habe eine tolle Falttechnik bei „Sandi & Friends“ entdeckt und mußte sie unbedingt für einen Workshop ausprobieren! Die Karte nennt man „Diamond Fold Card“ und ich finde sie unheimlich apart.

I found a great new folding technique at „Sandi & Friends“ and had to try it for a workshop! It’s called a „diamond fold card“ and I really thinks it’s special!

Außerdem haben es mir ja die neuen InColors angetan und so wollte ich alles vereinen: WEihnachten, untypische Weihnachtskarten und mal was ganz besonderes – das sind gleich 3 Dinge auf einmal, fast wie ein Ü-Ei 😉

Since I really fell in love with the new InColors I wanted to combine 3 things: Christmas and not so typical Christmas cards and something new and special…

Gesagt, getan – es wurde geschnippelt, und vorallem gefaltet, viel gestanz und gestempelt und sich mit der Ecken Bordürenstanze abgemüht, aber ich denke, die Mühen haben sich gelohnt – voilá!  – Da ist das Prachtstück:

So I started cutting and especially folding, punching and stamping and fighting with the corner punch but I think it was worth it – voilá! – this is the result:

Als Stempelsets habe ich die „Serene Snowflakes“ und den „Dasher“ verwendet. Der Dasher ist mit dem tollen silbernen Embossingpulver von Stampin‘ Up! heißembosst – einfach traumhaft!

I used the stamp sets „Serene Snowflakes“ and „Dasher“. For Dasher I used the silver embossing powder from Stampin‘ Up! – I love it!

Die Papiere sind entweder Petrol & Aquamarin oder Veilchen & Blauregen und dazu jeweils Flüsterweiß und der neue Farbkarton in Mattsilber. Für die Bänder habe ich die neuen InColor Bänder in Aquamarin und Blauregen benutzt und dann noch ein paar Glitzersteinchen dazu und das ganze ist fertig.

The papers are either Pool Party & Island Indigo or Concord Crush & Wisteria Wonder and then adding Whisper White and Silver. I also used the new beautiful InColor ribbons in Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder added a few rhinestones and that was it.

 So schaut die Karte von hinten aus. Hier kann man dann tatsächlich auch etwas Persönliches schreiben… Ich habe noch den weihnachtlichen Gruß aus dem Stempelset „Moderne Weihnachten“ genutzt.

 This is what the card looks from the back. Here is where you can write your personal greeting… I used the greeting from the stamp set „Contempo Christmas“.

 

…und weil’s so schön ist kommt hier noch einmal der leuchtende Dasher aus der Nähe 😉

Ich glaube, die Karte ist bei meinen Workshopgästen gut angekommen und ich werde mit dieser Falttechnik sicher noch ein wenig mehr herumspielen!

I think my guests all enjoyed making this card and I will definitely play a little more with the diamond fold technique!

Außerdem habe ich meinen Gästen versprochen, hier noch einmal eine detaillierte Anleitung zu posten und ich verspreche, dass ich das in den nächsten Tagen auch tun werde!  Bitte habt ein bisschen Geduld mit mir! 🙂

Ich lebe noch!

Hallo – ja – ich lebe noch – wenn auch etwas angeschlagen 😉 Mich hat eine Bronchitis für ein paar Wochen wirklich nieder gestreckt, nachdem ich meine beiden Kleinen gesund gepflegt hatte. Aber jetzt befinde ich mich wieder auf dem Weg der Besserung – meine Stimme klingt noch recht abenteuerlich, aber wenigstens muss ich nicht mehr ständig husten. Ich bin auch nicht wirklich zum Basteln gekommen, weil ich die Nächte ausnahmsweise mal wirklich zum Schlafen genutzt habe –  aber das wird sich bald wieder ändern, hi hi hi 😉

Hello – yes – I am still alive – even though a little hammered 😉 I was struck down by a nasty bronchitis for a couple of weeks after I had taken care of my two sick little boys. But I am finally reovering – my voice is still sounding pretty funny but after all I don’t have to constantly cough anymore. I really didn’t get to do any crafting either, since I used the nights really for sleeping – can you imagine? – But I am pretty ceratain that will change again soon 😉

Ich möchte Euch aber ein paar Karten zeigen, die vor meiner Erkrankung entstanden sind. Leider gab es da auch einen entsprechend traurigen Anlass, aber ich habe mich bemüht, in allen Karten dennoch die Hoffnung deutlich zu machen, in dem ich überall Schmetterlinge benutzt habe – ein Zeichen für Neubeginn und den Übergang vom „Raupenstadium“ zu etwas viel Schönerem…

I still want to show you a couple of cards that I made before getting sick. Sadly there was a reason for making these, but I tried to show a little bit of hope by using butterflies in all of them – a symbol for new beginnings – the transformation from the „caterpillar state“ to something much more beautiful….
