It’s a Baby Girl

Eine meiner Freundinnen hat ein gesundes kleines Mädchen zur Welt gebracht und beiden geht es gut. Ich habe sie im Krankenhaus besucht und die kleine Maus bestaunt, denn meine Jungs waren beide doch ziemlich groß bei der Geburt. Diese kleine Madame war nur 49cm klein – so entückend! Meine beiden Söhne waren auch schwer begeistert von dem Baby und können es jetzt noch weniger erwarten bis ihre Schwester endlich auf der Welt ist… durchhalten – nur noch ca. 7 Wochen!

A friend of mine gave birth to a healthy little girl and both are doing well. I visited her in the hospital and was amazed at the size of the little princess. My boys were both pretty big when they were born but this little baby was only 49cm small – soooo cute! Both of my sons were very excited to see her and are now even more anxious to meet their baby sister soon…. hang in there…. only about 7 more weeks!

Da das Baby doch ein paar Wochen zu früh kam, war ich noch nicht wirklich vorbereitet auf eine Babykarte und es musste etwas schneller gehn… Ich hoffe, sie hat sich trotzdem über etwas Selbstgemachtes und rosa Strampler gefreut 😉

Since the baby was a couple of weeks early I wasn’t really prepared for a baby card yet… so it was a fast one this time. But I hope she still liked the self made aspect of it in combination with pink sleepers 😉

Als Stempelsets dienten mir „Familienzuwachs“ und „Babyglück“ (in englisch). Die Farben sind „Kirschblüte“, „Savanne“ und „Flüsterweiß“. Das Band ist das Plissee-Satinband aus dem neuen Sommer-Mini Katalog.

I used „Little Additions“ and „Baby Prints“ as stamp sets. As colors I picked „Blushing Bride“, „Crumb Cake“ and „Whisper White“. The ribbon is from our new summer-mini catalog.

Wieder ein toller Workshop…

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

ich hatte mich mal kurz wieder etwas rar gemacht, denn es gab einfach viel zu viel zu tun. Aber zum Glück habe ich ja immer mal wieder ein paar Workshops zu gestalten, so dass ich das Basteln nicht ganz vergessen kann und dadurch die Chance bekomme, nicht in der vielen Arbeit verloren zu gehen 😉

I was a little „gone“  since there was way too much to do around here. But luckily I keep having workshops to prepare so I can’t completety ignore my creative urges 😉

Gestern war wieder mal eine tolle Gelegenheit, mich kreativ auszutoben. Ein Workshop mit 6 ganz tollen Frauen und ich glaube, wir hatten alle viel Spaß zusammen.

Yesterday I had the chance for a creative outburst  – I held a workshop with 6 wonderful women and I think we all enjoyed our time together.

Und hier sehr ihr, was wir gemeinsam in weniger als 3 Stunden gezaubert haben:

Nur so eine läppische Box? fragt Ihr Euch sicher.

Just a boring box? you might ask.

Ja, nur eine läppische Kartenbox (für 8×8 Karten!) – dafür aber mit Inhalt! Hier zeig ich Euch, was noch alles dazu gehörte:

Yes, only a boring box for cards – but including some content!) Now I am going to show you the content of this cute little box.

Wir haben passend zu der Box noch 4 Karten mit passenden Umschlägen dazu gebastelt – das wurde dann doch alles etwas knapp mit der Zeit, aber wir haben’s geschafft. Hurra!

We made 4 different cards with matching envelopes. Time was ticking bur we actually made it before everybody had to leave – hooray!

Hier noch einmal detaillierte Fotos von den einzelnen Karten. Ich hatte mir vorgenommen, mit jeder Karte eine neue Technik, bzw. neue Materialien vorzustellen, also zeig ich Euch mal was ich da so habe:

Here are some more close up pictures from the different cards. I wanted to use each card to show some special techniques and/ or new material my friends would maybe be interested in. So now I will show you what I came up with:

Die erste Karte wurde mit dem Stempelset „Nostalgisch gerahmt“  und den dazu passenden „Framelits Formen“ gestaltet. Das Motiv haben wir mir den Markern ausgemalt.

The first card was made with the stampset „Apothecary Art“ and the new „Framelits Labels Collection“. We colored the image with SU markers.

Bei der zweiten Karte haben wir das Motiv auf Aquarellpapier gestempelt und dann mit den Markern und dem Aquapainter ausgemalt. Als Stempelsets habe ich „Ein Duftendes Dutzend“ (für den Gruß) und „Bordering on Romance“ für das Blumenmotiv gewählt. Die Blüten lassen sich einfach so wunderbar colorieren. Der Hintergrund wurde mit dem Color-Spritzer ein bisschen aufgehübscht.

For the second card we stamped the image on water color paper and colored it with the SU Markers and the „Aquapainter“. We used the flowers from the „Bordering on Romance“ stamp set since they are just great for water coloring and the greeting is from the „Delightful Dozen“ stamp set. The background was enhanced by using the spraying tool for markers (no clue what the English name is – feel free to help me learn!)

Die Idee für die dritte Karte habe ich von einer anderen SU Kollegin gemopst, aber ich habe keine Ahnung mehr von wem. (Also wieder einmal der Aufruf: Melde Dich, wenn du weißt, wer mich inspiriert hat bzw. natürlich vor allem, wenn die Idee von Dir stammt, damit ich Dich erwähnen und verlinken kann!)

The idea for card no. 3 I got from one of my fellow SU demonstrators but I have no clue who it was. (So once again: Please contact me, if you know who might have inspired me or even better if you were the one with the original idea. Then I can name you and put a link to your blog in here!)

Ich liebe die neuen Kordeln mit den verschiedenen In-Colors und bei dieser Karte kommen sie einfach toll zur Geltung!

I love the new In-Color Baker’s Twine and this card showcases it so well.

 

Und zum Abschluß habe wir sogar noch eine „Spitzen Karte“ geschafft. Hierfür haben wir die Stanzen „Spitzenband“, „Wellenkante“ und „Spitzenbordüre“ genutzt und natürlich auch das „Kleine Herz“. Der Spruch stammt wieder aus dem Stempelset „Nostalgisch gerahmt“.

And finally we created a „Lace Card“. We used different Border punches to create the lacy effect as well as the small heart punch. The phrase is from the „Apothecary Art“ stamp set again.

Alles Gute zum Muttertag – Happy Mother’s Day!

Es war ein schöner Tag! Und ich konnte meiner Mutti eine große Freude machen, was den Tag doppelt zu süß gemacht hat!

It was a very enjoyable day and I was able to surprise my mom and make her happy which made the day even sweeter!

Wie versprochen zeige ich Euch heute, was ich für meine liebe Mama gewerkelt habe:

As promised I will show you today what I crafted for my mom:

Zuerst einmal gab es etwas Süßes – eine besonders leckere Schokolade in einer speziellen Verpackung mit dem extra Kick…. Zuerst ist die Verpackung noch recht unauffällig, aber zieht man an der kleinen Lasche, um die Schokolade herauszuziehen – voilá…..

First of all she received something sweet – a chocolate she really likes with a special surprise… First the wrapping is quite unspectacular, but once you pull on the little tab to pull out the chocolate – voilá……

Immer wieder spektakulär, obwohl das Verpackungsgeheimnis eigentlich recht simpel ist!

This chocolate Wrapper always causes some oohs and aaaws even though the tecnique I used to create it is quite simple!

Die Verpackung ist aus A4 Farbkarton in „Limone“ das DP ist das der vergangenen Sale-A-Bration. Ich liebe dieses Papier und bin froh, dass ich mir ein paar Päckchen sichern konnte 🙂 Als Stempelsets habe ich „Perfekte Pärchen“, „SAB Fresh Vintage“ und „Ein duftes Dutzend“ verwendet. Außerdem kamen die „Victoria“ Häkelbordüre zum Einsatz, die „Boho-Blüten“ Stanze und die „Klammern in Antikoptik“. Alle Papiere wurden in „Wildleder“ geinkt.

The wrapping was made from an A4 Cardstock in „Lucky Limeade“ and the DP is from this years Sale-A-Bration. I love the paper and am super happy that I was able to get a few packages to store 🙂 I used the following stamp sets:  „Petite Pairs“, „SAB Fresh-Vintage“ and „Delightful Dozen“. I also used the „Victoria“ chrochet ribbon as well as the „Boho Flower“ Punch and the Antique brads. All paper was inked in „Soft Suede“.

Aber das war noch nicht alles. Obwohl die Schokolade ja auch eine eingebaute Karte hatte, war mir diese zu klein für einen wirklichen Brief. Deshalb kam noch einmal eine  Karte dazu und auch hier gab es wieder mal ein besonderes Highlight:

But if course that wasn’t all just yet. Even thought the chocolate had a build in card I decided it was too small for a „real“ letter. That’s why I decided to make a matching card with a special twist:

  

Man nennt das ganze „Fancy Fold Accordian Tag Card“ – schöner Begriff für eine tolle Karte, nicht wahr?

It’s called a  „Fancy Fold Accordian Tag Card“  – a cool name for a fun card, right? 😉

Das kleine Päckchen wird zum Mini-Album, sobald man es öffnet. Da meine Mutter immer wieder nach den neusten Fotos fragt und ich eine wirklich schlechte Tochter bin, die immer wieder vergißt, dass sie sich das wünscht, habe ich es dieses Mal endlich mal geschafft, Ihr ein winziges Minialbum zu gestalten, damit sie hinausgehen und mit ihren zwei bildhübschen Enkeln angeben kann 😉 . Meine Mutter war völlig aus dem Häuschen und hat sich riesig gefreut – sie ist wirklich nicht sehr anspruchsvoll 😉

The little package on the card opens into a tiny Mini-Album. Since my mom keeps asking me for the newest pics of her (grand)children and I am such a rotten daughter that I keep forgetting to print them up for her, I decided to finally get her at least a tiny Mini-Book so she can brag about her two handsom littel grandsons 😉 . My mom was super excited and happy – she really doesn’t ask for much, does she  😉

Papier und Stempelsets sind die gleichen wie bei der Schokoladenverpackung, es kam noch das Standartrad „Sandy Speckles“ und „Häkelbordüre“ Stanze dazu. Wenn ihr wollt findet ihr hier wieder das Video, von dem ich mich habe inspirieren lassen – viel Spaß dabei!  😉

Paper and stamp sets are the same as the ones that I used for the chocolate wrapping, I just added the old stamping wheel „Sandy Speckles“ and used a border punch. If you are interested in details you can watch the video that inspired me for my mother’s day present right here  – enjoy!;)

Die Einladungen sind fast alle fertig…

…jetzt kann die Geburtstagsparty bald kommen. Schon wieder wird es Mai und das bedeutet, mein großer kleiner Mann wird bald 6! Natürlich mußte Mama wieder ran und eine Geburtstagseinladung ganz nach seinen Anweisungen werkeln. Er bestimmte die Farben, die Stempelsets und hatte eine ziemlich genaue Idee, wie das ganze so aussehen sollte.  Natürlich habe ich mir große Mühe gegeben, den hohen Ansprüchen zu entsprechen:

Almost all invitations are ready and sent so the party can begin! It’s May soon which means that it’s my big little boys 6th birthday soon! And of course mom had to make the invitations but he had a pretty clear idea what they would have to look like. So he picked the colors and stamp sets and I tried my best to meet his expectiations:

 

Die Farben sind Petrol, Limone und Flüsterweiß und die Stempelsets „Lass uns feiern“ und „Dino-Party“. Ich habe außerdem den Präge-Folder „Streifen“ benutzt und den Aquapainter zum colorieren des Dinos. Die Kordel ist aus dem kommenden Sommer-Mini und ich habe sie in Petrol und Limone benutzt.

I used „Island Indigo“, „Lucky Limeade“ and „Whisper White“ cardstock and the stampsets „Party This Way“ and „Dino Roar“. For embossing I used the embossing folder „Stripes“ and the aquapainter for coloring the dinosaur. The bakerstwine is from the upcoming Summer-Mini-Catalog and I used it in „Island Indigo“ and „Lucky Limeade“.

Mein Sohn war zum Glück total begeistert. „Mama – viel besser als ich es mir vorgestellt habe!“ – Na wenn das nicht runter geht wie Öl! 😉

My son was totally happy with the result: „Mom – it’s much better than I imagined!“ – Well if that isn’t a compliment! 😉

Geburtstagskarten kann man immer gebrauchen…

…also kommt hier wieder eine. Dieses Mal habe ich das SAB-Stempelset „Fresh Vintage“ benutzt und das dazu passende SAB-Designer Papier „Retro Impressions“. Außerdem kam das Gastgeberinnen Stempelset „Alles Gute zum Geburtstag“ zum Einsatz, die Klammern in Antikoptik und das schöne „Victoria Häkelbordüre“ -Band. Für die Blume habe ich acht 1″ Kreise benutzt…

I also used the hostess stampset „Happiest Birthday Wishes“, the antique brads and the beautiful „victoria“ crochet ribbon. For the flower I used eight 1″ circles…

Für das Karteninnere habe ich einen der Grüße aus dem Stempelset „Ein Duftendes Dutzend“ benutzt und den wunderschönen Stempel aus dem SAB-Set mit den Markern coloriert.

For the inside I used one of the greetings from the stampset „Delightful Dozen“ and I used the „Marvelous Markers“ to color the floral stamp from the SAB-stamp set.

Diese Karte wird am Samstag eine liebe Freundin von mir erhalten und ich hoffe, sie freut sich darüber.

On sunday one of my dear friends will receive this card for her birthday and I hope she will enjoy it.
