Alles Gute zum Muttertag – Happy Mother’s Day!

Es war ein schöner Tag! Und ich konnte meiner Mutti eine große Freude machen, was den Tag doppelt zu süß gemacht hat!

It was a very enjoyable day and I was able to surprise my mom and make her happy which made the day even sweeter!

Wie versprochen zeige ich Euch heute, was ich für meine liebe Mama gewerkelt habe:

As promised I will show you today what I crafted for my mom:

Zuerst einmal gab es etwas Süßes – eine besonders leckere Schokolade in einer speziellen Verpackung mit dem extra Kick…. Zuerst ist die Verpackung noch recht unauffällig, aber zieht man an der kleinen Lasche, um die Schokolade herauszuziehen – voilá…..

First of all she received something sweet – a chocolate she really likes with a special surprise… First the wrapping is quite unspectacular, but once you pull on the little tab to pull out the chocolate – voilá……

Immer wieder spektakulär, obwohl das Verpackungsgeheimnis eigentlich recht simpel ist!

This chocolate Wrapper always causes some oohs and aaaws even though the tecnique I used to create it is quite simple!

Die Verpackung ist aus A4 Farbkarton in „Limone“ das DP ist das der vergangenen Sale-A-Bration. Ich liebe dieses Papier und bin froh, dass ich mir ein paar Päckchen sichern konnte 🙂 Als Stempelsets habe ich „Perfekte Pärchen“, „SAB Fresh Vintage“ und „Ein duftes Dutzend“ verwendet. Außerdem kamen die „Victoria“ Häkelbordüre zum Einsatz, die „Boho-Blüten“ Stanze und die „Klammern in Antikoptik“. Alle Papiere wurden in „Wildleder“ geinkt.

The wrapping was made from an A4 Cardstock in „Lucky Limeade“ and the DP is from this years Sale-A-Bration. I love the paper and am super happy that I was able to get a few packages to store 🙂 I used the following stamp sets:  „Petite Pairs“, „SAB Fresh-Vintage“ and „Delightful Dozen“. I also used the „Victoria“ chrochet ribbon as well as the „Boho Flower“ Punch and the Antique brads. All paper was inked in „Soft Suede“.

Aber das war noch nicht alles. Obwohl die Schokolade ja auch eine eingebaute Karte hatte, war mir diese zu klein für einen wirklichen Brief. Deshalb kam noch einmal eine  Karte dazu und auch hier gab es wieder mal ein besonderes Highlight:

But if course that wasn’t all just yet. Even thought the chocolate had a build in card I decided it was too small for a „real“ letter. That’s why I decided to make a matching card with a special twist:

  

Man nennt das ganze „Fancy Fold Accordian Tag Card“ – schöner Begriff für eine tolle Karte, nicht wahr?

It’s called a  „Fancy Fold Accordian Tag Card“  – a cool name for a fun card, right? 😉

Das kleine Päckchen wird zum Mini-Album, sobald man es öffnet. Da meine Mutter immer wieder nach den neusten Fotos fragt und ich eine wirklich schlechte Tochter bin, die immer wieder vergißt, dass sie sich das wünscht, habe ich es dieses Mal endlich mal geschafft, Ihr ein winziges Minialbum zu gestalten, damit sie hinausgehen und mit ihren zwei bildhübschen Enkeln angeben kann 😉 . Meine Mutter war völlig aus dem Häuschen und hat sich riesig gefreut – sie ist wirklich nicht sehr anspruchsvoll 😉

The little package on the card opens into a tiny Mini-Album. Since my mom keeps asking me for the newest pics of her (grand)children and I am such a rotten daughter that I keep forgetting to print them up for her, I decided to finally get her at least a tiny Mini-Book so she can brag about her two handsom littel grandsons 😉 . My mom was super excited and happy – she really doesn’t ask for much, does she  😉

Papier und Stempelsets sind die gleichen wie bei der Schokoladenverpackung, es kam noch das Standartrad „Sandy Speckles“ und „Häkelbordüre“ Stanze dazu. Wenn ihr wollt findet ihr hier wieder das Video, von dem ich mich habe inspirieren lassen – viel Spaß dabei!  😉

Paper and stamp sets are the same as the ones that I used for the chocolate wrapping, I just added the old stamping wheel „Sandy Speckles“ and used a border punch. If you are interested in details you can watch the video that inspired me for my mother’s day present right here  – enjoy!;)

Geburtstagsparty überlebt…

Jetzt ist es ja schon fast eine Woche her, dass wir die große Party hatten und ich habe Euch immer noch nicht gezeigt, was die Kids denn zum krönenden Abschluss mitbekommen haben. Aber das kann ich ja jetzt noch schnell nachholen, bevor ich Euch morgen (hoffentlich) zeige, was ich für meine Mutter zum Muttertag gewerkelt habe (im Moment ist das noch am Werden!) Ihr könnt mir mal die Daumen drücken, dass ich bis morgen fertig werde 😉

Now it is almost a week since we had a big birthday party and I still didn’t show you, what the kids received as their little party favors. But I can finally catch up on that before showing you (hopefully tomorrow!) what I made for my mom for Mother’s Day (well right now I am still working on it!) Keep your fingers crossed that I will be finished with it by tomorrow 😉

 

Ich habe einfache Butterbrot Tüten bestempelt – natürlich wieder mit dem Stempelset Dino-Party und den In-Colors „Limone“, „Calypso“, „Petrol“ und „Blauregen“. Für den Verschluss kamen der 1-3/4″ Wellenkreis, die Wellenkante und der 1-3/8″ Kreis als Stanzen zum Einsatz, sowie das leider ausgelaufene Standardrad „Sandy Speckles“.

I stamped on regular sandwich bags – of course using the stamp set „Dino Roar“ and the In Colors „Lucky Limeade“, „Calypso Coral“, „Island Indigo“ and „Whisteria Wonder“. For the bag topper I used the 1-3/4 scallop circle punch, the Scallop border punch and the 1-3/8″ circle punch as well as the regular wheel „Sandy Speckles“ which didn’t make it in this years catalog.

Gefeiert haben wir im Museumsdorf Düppel, wo vor 800 Jahren tatsächlich Menschen gelebt und gearbeitet haben. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis für die Kinder, mehr über das Leben in der „guten alten Zeit“ des Mittelalters zu erfahren! Die Frau, die die Gruppe geleitet hat, hat es hervorragend geschafft, die Kinder ständig interessiert zu halten und mit neuen Dingen zu faszinieren. Ich glaube, alle hatten ihren Spaß – da fast alle Jungs vorher angerufen und abgesagt hatten, war nur ein anderer Junge dabei und ansonstern lauter Mädchen, aber das schien Silas nicht zu stören 🙂 Ich bin mir sicher, dass wir bestimmt noch öfter ins Museumsdorf zurückkehren werden, um dann auch mal zu erleben, wie dort auch heute noch Menschen leben wie im Mittelalter (auch wenn nur mal für einen Tag 😉 )

We celebrated in an historic village called „Museumsdorf Düppel“ where 800 years ago people lived and worked. It was a very exciting experience for all of the kids when they learned more about life in those „good old times“. The lady who was our „party guide“ did a fantastic job in keeping the kids interested and fascinated. I think everybody enjoyed it – since most of the boys had called in to call the party off, there was just one boy left and a bunch of Silas‘ girlfriends – but that didn’t seem to bother anyone either 😉 I am sure we will be returning to the Museums village again on a day when we can experience how even today there are people living there under mid-evil conditions (even if they are only there for a day! 😉 )

Die Einladungen sind fast alle fertig…

…jetzt kann die Geburtstagsparty bald kommen. Schon wieder wird es Mai und das bedeutet, mein großer kleiner Mann wird bald 6! Natürlich mußte Mama wieder ran und eine Geburtstagseinladung ganz nach seinen Anweisungen werkeln. Er bestimmte die Farben, die Stempelsets und hatte eine ziemlich genaue Idee, wie das ganze so aussehen sollte.  Natürlich habe ich mir große Mühe gegeben, den hohen Ansprüchen zu entsprechen:

Almost all invitations are ready and sent so the party can begin! It’s May soon which means that it’s my big little boys 6th birthday soon! And of course mom had to make the invitations but he had a pretty clear idea what they would have to look like. So he picked the colors and stamp sets and I tried my best to meet his expectiations:

 

Die Farben sind Petrol, Limone und Flüsterweiß und die Stempelsets „Lass uns feiern“ und „Dino-Party“. Ich habe außerdem den Präge-Folder „Streifen“ benutzt und den Aquapainter zum colorieren des Dinos. Die Kordel ist aus dem kommenden Sommer-Mini und ich habe sie in Petrol und Limone benutzt.

I used „Island Indigo“, „Lucky Limeade“ and „Whisper White“ cardstock and the stampsets „Party This Way“ and „Dino Roar“. For embossing I used the embossing folder „Stripes“ and the aquapainter for coloring the dinosaur. The bakerstwine is from the upcoming Summer-Mini-Catalog and I used it in „Island Indigo“ and „Lucky Limeade“.

Mein Sohn war zum Glück total begeistert. „Mama – viel besser als ich es mir vorgestellt habe!“ – Na wenn das nicht runter geht wie Öl! 😉

My son was totally happy with the result: „Mom – it’s much better than I imagined!“ – Well if that isn’t a compliment! 😉

Meine erste Wasserfall-Karte

Heute wollte ich Euch mal meine erste Wasserfall-Karte zeigen, die ich anläßlich des letzten Workshops kurz vor Ostern gewerkelt habe. Die Kunden hatten anfangs kein großes Interesse an Osterkarten („Die schreibt man viel zu wenig!“), aber haben mir das letzte Wort gelassen, als es um die Vorbereitungen ging.  Und ich fand die kleinen Häschen der „Hasenparade“ einfach viel zu entzückend, um sie nicht zu benutzten …  und eine Wasserfall-Karte sollte unbedingt dabei sein, sowie eine schicke Schokoladen-Verpackung (die zeige ich Euch später noch einmal – ich versuche gerade, ein Tutorial dazu hin zu bekommen 😉 )

Today I wanted to show you my very first Waterfall-card. I made it for a workshop I held a couple of weeks ago. My customers told me before the workshop, that they weren’t too much interested in making Easter Cards or any other Easter stuff… But I liked the bunnies way too much to not use them for my example… and they were convinced they wanted a waterfall card and a rather extravagant way of wrapping a chocolate bar.  (I will show you the special chocolate bar another time when I finished it’s tutorial 😉 )

  

Ich hatte mich nie an diese Technik herangetraut – sah mir immer viel zu kompliziert und fimmelig aus – deshalb habe ich mich dann doch gefreut, als die Nachfrage bezüglich einer Wasserfall-Karte von meiner letzten Gastgeberin kam – da mußte ich ran und es gab kein zuück.  Und wenn man dann ersteinmal angefangen merkt man, wie einfach die Sache doch eigentlich ist! Das war bestimmt nicht meine letzte Wasserfall-Karte 😉

I never dared trying to make one of these waterfall-cards – they always seemed to be way too complicated and involved 😉 But once you get started you realize how easy they are to make! This will definitely not be my last waterfall-card! 😉

Sour Cream Container Goodies

… so nennt man die kleinen Verpackungen, die ich Euch heute mal zeigen möchte. Ganz einfach und schnell gemacht und trotzdem immer wieder sehr hübsch, finde ich.

…that’s the name of the little treat „boxes“ that I want to show you today. Very easy and fast to do but still always quite cute, I think.

Dieses Mal habe ich zwei neue Errungenschaften benutzt – die Farbe „Pflaumenblau“ ist jetzt neu in meinem Sortiment und ich habe mir den Crimper zugelegt – tolles Gerät und so einfach zu verwenden! Außerdem kamen die Stempelsets „Confetti“,  „Perfect Postage“ und „Tiny Tags“ zum Einsatz, sowie die Briefmarken Stanze (,die es nur noch bis Ende April geben wird!) und natürlich durfte ein kleiner Basic-Strassstein nicht fehlen.

This time I used two new „toys“ – the color „perfect plum“ is new in my collection as well as a crimper – what a great tool – and easy to use! I used the stamp sets „Confetti“, „Perfect Postage“ and „Tiny Tags“, as well as the stamp punch (which will only be available until the end of April!) and of course I had to use one of the little rhinestones.

Im Moment bin ich mal wieder mit den Geburtstagsvorbereitungen für meinen Großen beschäftigt – wenn es geschafft ist, dann werdet Ihr natürlich Bilder von Einladungen, Geburtstagskarte usw. zu sehen bekommen, aber bis dahin ist noch alles streng geheim 😉

At the moment I am super busy again with birthday preparations for my oldest son – when everything is done you will definitely get to see some pictures of invitations and birthday card etc. but until then everything is super confidential 😉
