Für den schönsten Tag im Leben…

Vor Kurzem hat ein Freund von uns geheiratet und da mußte natürlich eine ganz besondere Karte her.

A couple of weeks ago one of our friends got married and of course I had to make a very special card.

Die Idee habe ich von einer amerikanischen SU-Demonstratorin namens Danee Hoang (wenn Ihr auf den Namen klickt, dann kommt Ihr zur Original-Karte).

I cased a card from an American SU-Demonstrator. Her name is Danee Hoang (and if you click on her name you will see the original card).

Ich bin der Vorlage ziemlich treu geblieben, allerdings habe ich das DP „Frühlingsnostalgie“ aus dem letzten Sommer-Minikatalog als Hintergrund genutzt und ein anderes Band. Auch die Prägefolder sind etwas anders, da es die des Originals nur im amerikanischen Katalog gibt.

I pretty much followed the original card but used old designer paper from our last summer-mini catalog (I don’t know what it was called in English back then – sorry!). I also used a different kind of ribbon and other embossing folders since the ones from the original card are not available in Europe.

Innen habe ich die Karte recht schlicht gehalten – da zählte dann mehr der geschriebene Inhalt mitsamt der kleinen „Finanzspritze“ für den neuen gemeinsamen Haushalt. 😉

Inside I kept the card pretty simple and left the written word and „monetary content“ as the main focus here. 😉

Hier kam das Stempelset „Perfekte Pärchen“ zum Einsatz und die neue Stanze „Briefmarke“.

I used the stamp set „Petite Pairs“ and our new postage punch.

Ich hoffe, die Karte samt Inhalt hat dem Brautpaar gefallen – ich hatte jedenfalls viel Spaß beim Abkupfern! 😉 Danke Danee für die tolle Idee!

I hope the newly weds liked the card and it’s content – I for one enjoyed casing it! Thanks Danee for your great idea!

 

Geburtstagskarte für einen Mann…

…. genauer gesagt für meinen Vater, der in der vergangenen Woche seinen 71. Geburtstag gefeiert hat. Das ist doch jedes Jahr von Neuem wieder schwierig, die passende Karte zu werkeln. Irgendwie tue ich mich schrecklich schwer damit, „männliche“ Karten zu kreieren – irgendwie klappt das nie so ganz.

My dad turned 71 this past week. So a reason to create a Birthday Card for him. Oh how I dread it every time I try – I seem to be a little handicapped, when it comes to „male“ cards – they never really turn out the way I would like them to.

Auch dieses Jahr würde ich es wieder als einen passablen Versuch definieren, was ich dann endlich zustande gebracht habe, aber so wirklich vom Hocker gehauen hat es mich nicht. Ich hoffe, mein Vater hat sich trotzdem gefreut.

Same this year – it probably turned out okay – it was a nice try 😉 – but it still didn’t give me an „aaaaawww“ moment. I hope my dad still liked it and enjoyed it.

Der Gruß ist aus dem Stempelset „Ein duftendes Dutzend“, als Farben habe ich Wildleder, Olivgrün, Savanne, Gartengrün, Espresso und Farngrün genutzt. Die Punkte sind mit der 1/2″ Kreisstanze entstanden und die kleinen silbernen Perlen sind die „Miniklammern“.

The greeting is from the stamp set „Delightful Dozen“, as colors I used „Soft Suede“, „Old Olive“, „Crumb Cake“, „Garden Green“, „Early Espresso“, and „Pear Pizzas“. The dots were made with the 1/2 “ circle punch and I also used the little silver Minibrads.

Innen blieb die Karte natürlich auch nicht leer, sondern diente gleichzeitig als Gutschein:

Of course I didn’t keep the card empty inside but used it at the same time as a gift certificate:

Der Schriftzug „Gutschein“ kommt aus dem aktuellen Sale-A-Bration Set „Allerlei Anlässe“ und ich habe ihn mit den passenden Markern coloriert.

The „lettering“ stamp is from the current Sale-A–Bration set „Outlined Occasions“ and I used the Marvelous Markers to color it in. 

Wie das Ganze nun wirklich bei meinem Vater angekommen ist, konnte ich nicht wirklich einschätzen – der Gutschein wurde aber gleich eingelöst und von uns allen sehr genossen 🙂

How my dad finally liked the whole thing I still don’t really know – but he already used the yummy gift certificate and we all enjoyed a delicious family breakfast together. 🙂 

Die Zeit verfliegt…

… ich kann es kaum glauben, wie schnell die Zeit verfliegt. Jetzt wird es endlich mal wieder Zeit, dass ich mich melde. Vor ein paar Wochen hatte ich wieder einmal die Gelegenheit, einen Workshop mit 3 wundervollen Frauen durchzuführen. Sabine war eine tolle Gastgeberin (Deine Kartoffelsuppe war der Hammer! – Danke noch einmal!) und ich glaube wir hatten alle viel Spaß zusammen. Ich habe es jedenfalls sehr genossen.

… I can’t believe how fast time flies by. I guess it’s about time that I post something out here. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to hold a workshop with 3 wonderful women. Sabine was a great hostess (your potato stew was sooo delicious! – Thanks again!) and I think we all enjoyed the evening. I did for sure!

Natürlich hatte ich mal wieder meinen Fotoapparat vergessen, aber wenigstens kann ich Euch die Projekte zeigen, die wir gemeinsam gewerkelt haben:

Hier die Karte außen und innen. Ich habe das Stempelset aus dem Frühjahrs-Minikatalog „Osternostalgie“ benutzt – mein absolutes Lieblingsset im Moment, sowie den Schmetterling aus dem Stempelset „Fürs Medaillon“.

This is the card front and inside. I used the stampset from our spring-mini-catalog „Easter Blossoms“ which is my absolute favorite set at the moment, as well as the butterfly from the stamp set „Charming“.

Dazu haben wir noch eine passende kleine Hexagon-Verpackung gebastelt:

As an addition to the card we also made a little hexagon-box:

Hier habe ich zweimal den Mini-Milchkarton mit der  BigZ L Form und der BigShot ausgestanzt. Diese habe ich dann mit dem Prägefolder „Perfect Polka Dots“ geprägt. Außerdem kam natürlich wieder  wieder das Stempelset „Osternostalgie“ zum Einsatz und deise mal auch die Häkel-Bordüren Stanze. Die Farben sind sowohl bei der Karte als auch bei der Box meine Lieblings-Kombination „Kirschblüte“ und „Espresso“, sowie „Vanille Pur“.

Here I used the mini-milk-carton BigZ L Die with the Big Shot. I embossed the paper with the „Perfect Polka Dots“ embossing folder. Again the stamp set „Easter Blossoms“ was used and this time I also used a border punch. For the colors I chose my favorite combination: „Blushing Bride“, „Early Espresso“ and „Very Vanilla“.

Ich bin ja auch wirklich ’ne dumme Nuss!

Da habe ich nun mal wieder eine Vorlage von einer Mojo-Monday Challenge für eine Karte genutzt (die Karte, die ich Euch in meinem letzten Post schon angekündigt habe), aber weil ich warten wollte, bis die Empfängerin diese auch schon erhalten hat, habe ich völlig vergessen, die Karte auf der Mojo-Monday Seite einzureichen 🙂 – Gemacht habe ich sie am letzten Donnerstag, und naja – mittlerweile ist der nächste Montag schon vorbei und eine neue Challenge wurde begonnen. Ich Dummerchen 😉

Finally I used another Mojo-Monday sketch for a birthday card and I wanted to participate in the challenge (that’s the card I already announced in my last post). BUT since I didn’t want to post it before the recipient receives it, I waited and totally forgot about it … oops. The card was made last thursday and since then another Monday happened and with that another challenge. I can be such a fool sometimes 😉

Aber das macht ja alles nichts – schön ist sie trotzdem geworden, finde ich – und deshalb sollt ihr sie jetzt wenigstens zu Gesicht bekommen 😉

But nevermind – it still turned out beautiful, as I think – and that’s why you should at least get to see it 😉

Und da das gute Stück verschickt wurde, mußte natürlich auch der Umschlag noch etwas aufgehübscht werden:

Alles Stempel sind aus dem Set „Kreative Elemente“, nur der „Gruß“ ist aus dem Set „Party This Way“.

Als Farben dienten dieses Mal „Veilchen“ und „Blauregen“ und das Hintergrundpapier sowie der Umschlag sind in Vanille Pur. Außerdem kamen mal wieder die Mini Perlen aus dem Basic Perlenschmuck zum Einsatz und mit dem Aquapainter habe ich die Ranke coloriert.

All stamps are from the set „Creative Elements“ except the sentiment – it is from the set „Party This Way“.

I used „Concord Crudh“ and „Whisteria Wonder“ as in colors and paper and in addition VeryVanilla cardstock and envelope. I also used the tiniest pearls from the basic pearls and with the Aqua Painter I colored the background a bit.

Und weil’s so schön war, hier noch einmnal eine Nahaufnahme von der Blume, die ich dreimal auf Vanille Pur Farbkarton gestempelt und in 3D-Manier zurechtgeschnippelt habe.

And since I can’t get enough of it, here a little close up of the flower. I stamped it three times on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it so it turned into a 3D- kind of flower 😉

 

Das nächste Mal bin ich dann aber schneller, wenn ich an so einer Challenge teilnehme!

Next time I will hopefully be a little faster when taking part in a challenge!

Ich bin einfach zu beschäftigt…

…und habe viel zu wenig Zeit zum Basteln! Es wird aber mal Zeit, Euch zu zeigen, was meine Gäste bei den letzten Workshops so bekommen haben. 🙂 Ist ja nun auch schon ein Weilchen her…

I am just way too busy and don’t seem to find the time for crafting! But it is about time to show you, what kind of goodies I gave out for my last workshop – it’s been a while 😉

Hier als erstes mal das kleine Geschenk für meine Gastgeberin – nochmal „Danke Uli für die tolle Zeit mit Dir und Deinen Gästen!“

First of all I will show you the present my hostess received – „thanks again Uli for a great time!“

Die Box wurde aus zwei Mini-Milchkartons gemacht, die ich vor dem Falten mal wieder mit den Serene Snowflakes bestempelt und mit der Glanzfarbe in Frostweiß betupft habe. Das gibt dem Ganzen einen Perlmutt-Schimmer. Dann habe ich die Box mit einer Bordüre in Petrol ummantelt, die ich mit der Häkelbordüren Stanze und dem PolkaDots Prägefolder etwas aufgehübscht habe. Auch diese Bordüre wurde mit Frostweiß zum Schimmern gebracht. Beim kleinen Schildchen habe ich mit einem Stempel aus dem GastgeberinnenSet „Alles Gute zum Geburtstag“  die Umrandung gestempelt aber einen Stempel aus den „Perfekten Pärchen“ für das „Danke“ benutzt – beides in Petrol. Der Hintergrund wurde dann wieder mit den Serene Snowflakes in Blauregen und Aquamarin gestempelt.

The little box was made with two mini- milk containers. I used the Stampset „Serene Snowflakes“ before folding them and used frost white all purpose ink to give it a nice shine. After folding the box I gave it an Island Indigo mantle that I had made using  a border punch and the polka dots embossing folder. I also had added frost white to make it shimmery. For the tag I used two three different stamp sets: „Happiest Birthday Wishes“ for the border, „Perfect Pairs“ for the sentiment  – both were stamped with Island Indigo and „Serene Snowflakes“ for the background stamped in Whisteria Wonder and Pool Party.

Hier also noch einmal eine Nahaufnahme. Der Verschluß ist mit der Spitzendeckchen Elementstanze und Farbkarton in Petrol, Aquamarin und Flüsterweiß entstanden.

Here a closeup. For the „Topping“ I used the new Element punch and cardstock in Pool Party, Island Indigo and Whisper White.

Und hier noch einmal mit den Goodies für die Gäste. Da ich zwei Workshops veranstaltet habe, den zweiten bei mir in der Praxis, habe ich mir für jede Veranstaltung etwas anderes überlegt. Für die Einen gab es ein Tütchen mit Lebkuchen, dass mit etwas Papier und Stempel aufgehübscht wurde, für die anderen einen „Sour Cream Container“ für den ich die gleichen Stempelsets und Farben benutzt habe um ihn zu verschönern.

And here you see the whole set including goodies for the guests. Since I held two workshops, the second one in my practice, I chose diffrent goodies for the two „parties“. Some guests received a little bag with „Lebkuchen“ with a pretty topper 😉 and the others received a sour cream container and I used the same stampsets for bothe to make them pretty 😉

Gestern habe ich eine Karte gewerkelt, aber die kann ich Euch noch nicht zeigen… die muß erst noch beim Empfänger ankommen 😉 aber ich denke morgen seht ihr dann mehr! Also schaut bald wieder mal vorbei 😉
