„All Ye Faithful“ meets „Flurry Of Wishes“ #GDP004

Weil es so schön war (und um mich ein bisschen von den Geschehnissen der vergangenen Woche abzulenken), nehme ich gleich an der nächsten GDP-Challenge teil 😉

Since it was so much fun (and in order to take a time out from some difficult days) I’m joining once more in the GDP-challenge 😉

Hier die Challenge der Woche: / And here comes the challenge for this week:

Die Karte von Louise hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich sie am liebsten eins zu eins abgekupfert hätte – (mach ich bestimmt auch noch mal! 😉 ) – aber das wäre nicht so sonderlich kreativ. Deshalb habe ich mich von den Farben, dem Layout und dem Thema inspirieren lassen und etwas ganz anderes gemacht – Hier ist meine sehr freie Version ihrer traumhaften Karte:

I totally fell in love with Louise‘ card and would have loved to just case it exactely – (which I will probably do some time soon! 😉 ) – but that wouldn’t have been too creative. That’s why I decided to let myself be inspired by the colors, the layout and the theme and finally created something completely different: This is my loose interpretation of her stunning card:

Die Motive im Stempelset „Gesegnete Weihnacht“ haben mich gleich an eine Kirchenfenster erinnert, also habe ich Maria und Joseph mit dem Jesuskind auf das schöne Designerpergamentpapier mit Versamark gestempelt und dann mit Gold heißgeprägt. Wenn man dann das Motiv von hinten mit den Stampin! Write Markern ausmalt, wirken die Farben noch etwas gedämpfter als von vorne. Ich hab hier noch mal eine Nahaufnahme vom Fenster:

The stampset „All Ye Faithful“ somehow reminded me right away of stained glass wind0ws in a church. That’s why I decided to use Versamark ink to stamp Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus on the new designer vellum and then heat emboss them with gold. If you use your Stampin‘ Write Markers on the back of the vellum instead of the front, the colors will be a little softer. Let’s have a a closer look at the window:

Innen habe ich diese recht aufwendige Karte dann sehr schlicht gehalten. Der Spruch aus dem Stempelset „Flurry of Wishes“ hat mir sehr gut gefallen, denn gerade jetzt kann ich Frieden gut gebrauchen und der Glaube an Wunder hält mich über Wasser 😉 :

I kept the inside of the card quite clean and simple and decided to use the sentiment from „Flurry of Wishes“ – especially during this challenging time I can use all the peace there is and my faith in miracles is what keeps me going right now ;):

Wow – Mein Mini-Album hat doch tatsächlich gewonnen! Diese Nachricht hat mir den Tag versüßt, denn die vergangenen Woche war ziemlich schrecklich für mich und meine Familie – mein Vater hat am Dienstag nach meinem letzten Blogbeitrag nämlich einen Schlaganfall erlitten und so war und ist es immer noch eine recht nervenaufreibende Zeit für uns. Danke liebes Design-Team, dass Ihr mich als eine von drei Gewinnern ausgewählt habt – „You made my day!“ – und Gratulation auch an die anderen beiden Gewinnerinnen!

Wow – my mini-album won a challenge! This literally made my day since the past week turned out quite terrible for me and my family – my dad suffered a stroke on Tuesday right after my blog post and it’s bee quite tough since – this cheered me up a bit! Thank you so much, dear members of the design Team, for honoring me by picking my card. And congrats to the other two winners as well!

Die Challenge der letzten Woche habe ich verpasst, aber dieses Mal wollte ich unbedingt dabei sein 😉 Das Projekt wollte ich Euch sowieso schon lange zeigen und jetzt ist die perfekte Gelegenheit dazu!

I didn’t want to miss this weeks challenge since I already missed the one from last week 😉 The theme fits a project I’ve been wanting to show you for a while – what a perfect opportunity 😉

Ich habe ein Mini-Album mit Karte für eine gute Freundin gewerkelt, die im Mai zum dritten Mal Mama geworden ist.

I created a mini-album for a good friend who had her third child in May.

„Am See“ meets „Gorgeous Grunge“ oder eine verpasste Challenge

Da bin ich heute extra lange aufgeblieben, weil ich dachte, ich könnte noch an einer Challenge von „Freshly Made Sketches“ teilnehmen, aber Pustekuchen – ich war zu spät! (Immer diese Zeitverschiebung!) Naja, ich kann die Karte wenigstens noch bei den „Paper Players“ einreichen.

So I stayed up extra long to work on a card I wanted to make for two different challenges again – one of which was „Freshly Made Sketches„. But oh no! I was too late (time differecne between „over there“ and here… who the heck knows what 12:00p PDT translates to in my times zone! 😉 ) Oh well – at least I can still ad m Card to the „Paper Players‘“ Challenge.

Ich habe hier eine paar „alte“ Produkte verwendet, wie zum Beispiel das Stempelset „Am See“ aus dem letzten Frühjahrs-Katalog, sowie den Knopf und das Band. Als „Ausgleich“ habe ich aber das neue designer-Papier in Espresso verwendet – das ist wunderschön!

I used a couple of retired products, like the beautiful stampset „Moon Lake“ from the recent Spring-Catalog as well as the ribbon and button. To „make up“ for it I also used the brand new DP in Early Espresso – I think it’s beautiful!

Hoffe sie gefällt Euch – Männerkarten sind ja irgendwie immer etwas schwierig! 😉

Es ist schon ewig lange her, dass ich mal an einer Challenge teilgenommen habe und ich finde, es ist an der Zeit, das zu ändern! Warum also nicht gleich an dreiei Challenges teilnehmen 🙂 (Danke liebe Wiebke für die Ermunterung!)

It’s been forever since I took part in any creative challenges and I think it’s about time for me to change it! Why not do three challenges at once! 😉 (Thanks Wiebke for your encouragement!)
