Doppelte Herausforderung…

Heute zeige ich Euch, was ich für die Color Challenge des Global Design Projects gewerkelt habe. Das hier sind die drei Farben, die verwendet werden sollten:

Today I am going to show you my project for the GDP challenge. These are the three colors that we had to use:

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine „offizielle“ Challenge UND auch eine persönliche, denn als ich die Karte meiner „Stempel-Mutti“ Steffi sah – die wie immer wunderschön ist – und las, dass Ihr zu den Farben so absolut nichts weihnachtliches einfallen wollte – da hat mich der Ehrgeiz gleich doppelt gepackt 😉 Dabei muss ich gestehen, dass es mir eigentlich anfangs genauso ging.

It’s actually a double challenge for me – on the one hand it is the „official“ challenge AND a personal one: When I saw the beautiful card of my upline Steffi and read that the colors of this week’s challenge just didn’t fit into her „christmassy“ mood – I felt challenged to change that 😉 Although i have to admit that I felt the same way in the beginning

Nach langem Überlegen und in Vorbereitung auf meinen heutigen ersten Weihnachts-Workshop bin ich dann zu folgender Lösung gekommen:

After a lot of thinking and in preparation for my first Christmas Workshop tonight, I ended up with the following idea:

Na ? Wird’s Euch nun doch ein bisschen weihnachtlicher? 😉

Global Design Project meets Mojo Monday

Wieder eine neue Challenge beim Global Design Project – dieses Mal eine Farbchallenge, die so gar nicht dazu einlädt, Weihnachtliches oder Herbstliches zu gestalten 😉

And again another challenge with the Global Design Project – this time a color challenge – and it’s very springy and fresh 😉

Die Farben passen perfekt zum Sketch der dieswöchigen Challenge bei Mojo Monday und so musste ich beide unbedingt kombinieren:

I thought the colors perfectly matched the Mojo Monday Challenge this week so i had to combine the two:

And this is what I came up with:

Bei den Farben musste es einfach eine Babykarte werden und dafür habe ich mich mal wieder bei diverse alten Stempelsets bedient, die es leider nicht mehr gibt, die mir aber immer noch super gut gefallen 😉

I couldn’t help but think of a baby card when looking at the color combination and yet again I used a bunch of my old stamp sets that can’t be found in the SU-catalog anymore but are still fun to use 😉

Die Sternchen am Schleifenband habe ich jeweils doppelt mit dem Stern aus dem neuen Framelitsset „Boo To You“ (139663) ausgestanzt und dann mit einem Mini-Klebepunkt aneinander und dazwischen am Leinenfaden befestigt.

To cut the stars on the linen thread I used the new star framelit from the „Boo To You“ framelit dies (139663) and glued two of each color on the ends of the thread with mini-gluedots.

Ich hoffe, Euch gefällt meine kleine Kreation und ich freue mich auf Eure Anregungen und Kommentare.

Mit hat die Karte von Louise Sharp so gut gefallen, dass ich noch eine Variante ausprobiert habe – dieses mal viel dichter am Original, aber seht selbst….

As I told you – I fell in love with Louise‘ card so I had to give it a second try – this time closer to the original but see for yourself….

Hier noch einmal zur Erinnerung die Karte, die bei dieser Challenge als Inspiration dient:

Das Motiv habe ich wieder mit Gold auf Aquarellkarton geprägt und dann mit den Stampin‘ Write Markern und einem Pinsel ausgemalt – komplett mit Naturtönen. Das Bild habe ich dann mit der „Framelitsform Ballon“ ausgestanzt, den kleinen „Schnipsel“ aber abgeschnitten. Den entstandenen Kreis habe ich danach mit einem der Kreisframelits mattiert, so dass nur ein winzig dünner Glitzerrand entstanden ist und dazu habe ich dann noch den „Schnipsel“ vom Ballon (Keine Ahnung, wie man dieses Ding nennen würde 😉 ) dazu geschummelt, so dass der Eindruck einer Weihachtskugel entsteht – das hoffe ich jedenfalls 😉

I heat embossed the image on watercolor paper and used my Stampin‘ Write Markers and a paintbrush to color it in – with all neutral colors. I then used the Balloon Framelit to cut out the image but cut off the little balloon „thingy“ – so I had just a circle left. I matted my image with a golden glitter circle cut with one of the Circle Framelits that is just a tiny bit bigger than the balloon to get a sparkling border. Then I added the „balloon thingy“ (no clue what you would call it 😉 ) to make it look like a Christmal bauble – at least that’s what I’m hoping you see 😉

Meine Schleife ist bei weitem nicht so perfekt wie die von Louise, aber ich habe mir wirklich Mühe gegeben 😉

My bow is not even close to being as perfect as Louise‘ bow, but I really tried my best 😉

Ein Thinlits Circle Card Mini-Album fürs #GDP003

Die Challenge der letzten Woche habe ich verpasst, aber dieses Mal wollte ich unbedingt dabei sein 😉 Das Projekt wollte ich Euch sowieso schon lange zeigen und jetzt ist die perfekte Gelegenheit dazu!

I didn’t want to miss this weeks challenge since I already missed the one from last week 😉 The theme fits a project I’ve been wanting to show you for a while – what a perfect opportunity 😉

Ich habe ein Mini-Album mit Karte für eine gute Freundin gewerkelt, die im Mai zum dritten Mal Mama geworden ist.

I created a mini-album for a good friend who had her third child in May.

„Am See“ meets „Gorgeous Grunge“ oder eine verpasste Challenge

Da bin ich heute extra lange aufgeblieben, weil ich dachte, ich könnte noch an einer Challenge von „Freshly Made Sketches“ teilnehmen, aber Pustekuchen – ich war zu spät! (Immer diese Zeitverschiebung!) Naja, ich kann die Karte wenigstens noch bei den „Paper Players“ einreichen.

So I stayed up extra long to work on a card I wanted to make for two different challenges again – one of which was „Freshly Made Sketches„. But oh no! I was too late (time differecne between „over there“ and here… who the heck knows what 12:00p PDT translates to in my times zone! 😉 ) Oh well – at least I can still ad m Card to the „Paper Players‘“ Challenge.

Ich habe hier eine paar „alte“ Produkte verwendet, wie zum Beispiel das Stempelset „Am See“ aus dem letzten Frühjahrs-Katalog, sowie den Knopf und das Band. Als „Ausgleich“ habe ich aber das neue designer-Papier in Espresso verwendet – das ist wunderschön!

I used a couple of retired products, like the beautiful stampset „Moon Lake“ from the recent Spring-Catalog as well as the ribbon and button. To „make up“ for it I also used the brand new DP in Early Espresso – I think it’s beautiful!

Hoffe sie gefällt Euch – Männerkarten sind ja irgendwie immer etwas schwierig! 😉
